I had the same problem and it hit at about 4 months post-op and I'm now 9 months post-op and it's slowing down but I did recently have another major surgery. I too have super thin/fine hair but Nutri-ox shampoo and conditioner works awesome! Sally's beauty supply sells it and will really help with the thinning process. Definitely wasn't in my case. I caught c-diff in the hospital and after 6 antibiotics I was able to go back to work after 5 months. Even without the infection, I personally still would've needed 4-6 weeks of recovery. Being very sore and swollen in addition to learning a whole new way of living was a pretty big change.
