My new puppy loves to chew on my pine straw mulch!!! I would be afraid to put cocoa mulch out ...I would be likely to wake up smack dab in the middle of my landscaping with a mouthful of it and a glass of warm milk!!!!!!! hehehehe I had never heard of it before, so thanks fort he HEADS UP!!!! I'm so glad everyone is okay! My last accident was settled in hardly any time - the adjuster was willing to meet me wherever/whenever! The worst part was the police report, I had to fill out three copies (one for me, one for the car that hit me, and one for the car that hit the car that hit me), then get it to them within like a week or so! (I am assuming they don't have the funds for a COPIER!?!?!) Alabama is a no-fault state, so no one gets charged...but, if it was evident who caused the accident, the insurance companies go after that person! Kind of a pain, but whatever! Sounds like Missouri is a little closer to the twenty-first century, so you should be good to go in no time!!! Love on the hubby...men have a tendency to need babied when they have boo-boos, and it sounds as if yours has some substantial boo-booing!!!!! ~cheri

Woot Woot Woot!! Sorry for the storms last night, my NC friends, but, hey, whatever it takes to get her off the show, right?!?!?!!? OKay, hubby says next week is 1 song from their birth year and 1 song currently on charts!!! Should be awesome! I am pretty pleased now that Kellie is no longer in the running, but I really feel that this is a male competition from now on! Paris will be out next week IMO, and Katherine will soon follow. Elliott would make me happiest if he were to win, he is deserving and kind. A REAL person to look up to! Y'all know I love Taylor, but I'm not sure he could be super successful in the mainstream market (same with Katherine and Paris) I love Chris, but he really doesn't need Idol - his career skyrocketed the first time he got air time (again, IMO). He could slap down onto tape any of the performances he has given us so far and it would be on the charts - he is ready for the next step NOW, he doesn't need the summer tour and all of the Idol red tape that Bo has dealt with. So, I think it's Chris's game, but he definitely has some SERIOUS competition!!!!! ~cheri PS Paula, Paula admits to past pain medication problems, she says she has a muscular disorder which leaves her in excruciating pain, so she is dealing with that without the use of pain meds (maybe a few cosmos, just to take the edge off????) I read a bit about her today, but I'm still not convinced that she's "straight up"~~

Congrats on graduating!!! I think your plate is rather full right now (no pun intended), so quit being so hard on yourself!! This part of life is extrememly stressful (finding a new job, adjusting to college-less lifestyle, etc., etc.) Just try to stay on track, and don't be too hard on yourself if you slip a little from time to time!! Please pray for me... I am heading to the hospital in a few minutes to have a Septo-fess procedure. It's a sinus thing, they will be making it possible for me to breathe again!!! Woo-Hoo! But, she warned me that I will have a lot of pain and drainage. Yikes, gimme some good stuff! I was wondering if anyone thinks I should get an unfill (lots of drainage = lots of nausea). I will have to get my bandages changed tomorrow, and my band doc is in the same medical building, so I could just have them empty me for a bit. I am in a really good spot right now, so I don't want to change anything unless I have to!! See y'all soon...I'll be the one with a pad under my nose (just so you'll recognize me!! haha) I'll have my hubby post when I get home (I'll do it myself if I feel up to it!!) ~cheri

Thanks girls! I feel pretty good - went back to the doc yesterday to get the first set of nasal packing out. I will get the second pack out on Tuesday if all looks well, and the splint will come out in a week or so. I have developed a fever since surgery, so I went for chest xrays (doc thinks I have pneumonia, I think she's right:sick ), but otherwise I feel pretty good! I didn't get an unfill, boy I LOVE phenergan!:notagree I think all bandsters should be required to keep it in the house! I am having some nausea from time to time, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be! Thanks again for your prayers!! ~cheri

Okay, here's what we need to do - Everybody start praying for storms to hit North Carolina on Tuesday afternoon. That way the phone lines are down in Kellie's hometown! Good idea or what?!?!?! Believe it or not, I think she has a huge fan base - I personally don't get it. She's pretty, but not THAT pretty, and she definitely doesn't have a winning personality or intelligence! Who knows? I still think the final three will be Taylor, Chris, and Kellie My opinion: Paris will be going home this week (although it should be Kellie) Katherine and Elliott over the next two weeks (again, Ms. Pickler, why are you still here?) My biggest fear is that Kellie will win this year. If that happens, I may stop watching it altogether (yeah, who am I kidding? I'm a junkie...) ~cheri

Yesterday, I weighed myself after my son had checked his weight (it's a daily thing around here!)... I have lost my son in weight!!! I went around to everyone who could hold him... "here's how much weight I've lost", "can you believe I had to carry around this much extra weight?", "no wonder I've gone from a 22/24 to a 16", etc... Same here, Janet! I have been pretty much bored for the past few weeks...zzzzzzzzzz Did y'all notice that they played all of Mandisa's exit performance? Bofore, they cut them off after a few seconds - I was glad to see they gave her some respect! I'll be looking for her CD in stores by Christmas!! I agree, Kelli is an OKAY singer (a million times better than me, but that's not saying much), but she is SOOOO annoying! I saw the pics of her, and I guarantee that wasn't a second-hand Prom dress she was wearing!! I know hard-knock life, and none of the pics I saw had any evidence of the life she declares. Maybe she has had it bad, but I think it stinks that they are selling her with it - no one else on the show has a kitsche (okay, maybe Elliott and his hearing loss, but they don't dwell on it!!!) I would like to hear her do a really tough song for once so I could better judge her singing abilities - for me it's not the voice that turns me off, it's just her! Sorry to offend!!!! Come on Taylor, get back in the game!!!!

NOOOOO - not my girl Mandisa!?!?!?! My daughter is crushed! She believes that Mandisa was sent home because she is heavy - says she won't watch the show anymore because they pick the winners (she is only 8 and skin'n bones). Paris, Mandisa, and Elliott are her favorties (my middle boy is named Elliott, so we all know who he's cheering for!) so she was bawling last night!!! We look forward to watching Idol as a family, but I am starting to feel like it is not much of a family show this season (drunk comments, gay bashing, naughty, ballsy, sexy, etc.) I am disappointed in the turn the show has taken. I think the remaining contestants are talented, but I really feel that the most talented are: Chris and Kathrine - they really are the best singers Elliott is one of my faves, but it is his personality that I like, he's a good singer, but not the best by a longshot Taylor is my very favorite, but he doesn't have a mainstream style (which is what they are looking for) Paris is okay, but she gets on my nerves somewhat Ace is hot, but he should have been gone by now - we all know that he is the least talented BY FAR Bucky continues to grow on me week after week - I hope he goes a little further Kelli just totally bothers me, maybe its because a small town, homecoming queenish, blonde country singer won last year. Sure, she's cute, but she isn't very talented. She and Ace need to go work for Abercrombie & Fitch and leave Idol to the talented, less hottie crowd!! Cheri's Idol forecast- Winner - Chris , Kelli , Taylor , Kathrine , Paris , Bucky , Ace , Elliott ahhh, who knows?????
