I'm there with ya!!! Oh, wait, maybe I should out out and try to find a life first - nah!!!
-
I never flame anyone, but I think that comment was just outright rude!!! We have all enjoyed discussing American Idol this season and now you have come in and slammed us for it?? If you want to be negative and hurtful, I can think of a whole lot of other posts where your comments would be welcome... as for me, where is that ignore button anyways!!

We have one of the only $1 mil houses in the area going up on my cul-de-sac. I live in a rather rural subdivision (our lot is about 2 acres with a creek, we are edging a national forest, so lots of wildlife...too much for my taste!!) Anyway, the house is not outrageuosly huge, but it is built on the top of the mountain, has a tiered boulder yard, 4 car garage, walk-outs on all 4-levels, an indoor pool, and is stone on the outside!! It is absolutely gorgeous! It has natural forest for a back-yard view, and overlooks the entire countryside from the front! My daughter and I went inside to snoop last weekend, and it is amazing...all of the things you would ever want were included, oh, the kitchen, and soaking tubs in all bathrooms, dumbwaiter and laundry chutes, wet bar in the basement rec room, my ho my!!! By the way, the owners are an older couple with grown kids. I guess they are a big name in the area (which means nothing to me, since we haven't been here that long). She has a cute little two seater convertible to roll around in, and he has a SWEET Harley, not to mention the Lexus and big ole SUV of some sort I've seen them riding around in!!! - can you see me glowing green with envy?!?!?! Our house is plenty big for my family 3,600+- sq. ft, 6 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, playroom, 2 car garage, screened porch, computer den, outrageous pantry and kitchen!! We built it for around $200K... we're gonna love our million-dollar neighbors when we are ready to sell, huh???? ~cheri PS. I crack up everyone at home (in Ohio) when I talk about moving back. They all say I could never handle moving back because my kids would drive me crazy in the houses we could afford there!!!!

Sorry guys - guess the cat is out of the bag... it wasn't me, though!!! Go Taylor!!! Soul Patrol!!!! Have you ever seen a more thankful person? He was wonderful, as always. Looked great, sounded great, and I cried during his song when he was thanking everyone and talking about helping him live the American Dream - whew, that was something! And, Prince!!??!!?? He is like my all-time fave! Prince+chocolate syrup=one happy Cheri (my, my that was bad!!) Okay, I have seen Meatloaf in concert a few times, and he ROCKED - something was seriously wrong with him tonight!! Oh, but Prince, my sweet, succulent, xxx-rated thought inspiring, Prince ... oh, wait, I already dicussed that, didn't I? Way to go, Taylor - Idol finalist #3 from Birmingham!!! I will miss our rantings on this thread, y'all!!! Love, ~cheri

OKay, you could name it "Cheri"... my mom has often said I'm like a tumor, or was it a lump? Oh, well, anyway... I always liked the off-color nicknames such as Mike Hunt. Vinesqueen: Doc, when are you going to get mike hunt out of my head? Or something like Master Baiter - Vinesqueen: Doc, when are you going to get this Master Baiter out of my head? I guess you could just name it Fluffy...

I wish you all could see what I see... We are watching Fox news at 6, it's after 6 here ya know. Well, all of the anchors, weathermen, reporters, cameramen, etc. have sprayed their hair gray!!! It is SOOO funny!!!! They are having an Idol watching party at the Birmingham Civic Center for the results - I would say that over 10,000 people are there already!!! That is just crazy!!! I wonder if there is a big Katherine party going on in LA, with everybody wearing long brown wigs??? See, that's the one thing I kinda like about the south, it seems that everyone pulls together to support fellow southerners (although that can get very messy, indeed!!!) Well, 'til later, then! ~cheri
-
I see, I see... so, mum's the word from me until later tonight!!!! Hope we aren't all surprised at the results!!
-
I wouldn't say who will win...the four-hour voting last night may prove disastrous for my Taylor...we are in central time zone here (and most everyone I know is long asleeep by the midnight cut-off), whereas the west coast voters who liked Katherine were finished voting by 9:00 Pm? Is that correct, or do they replay the show at 8:00 PST and keep the voting open 'til midnight? I've often wondered how it's done... Well, here's hoping that Taylor wins:hungry: oops, I mean:tea: hehehe ~cheri

Soooo, is anyone out there?? Did y'all leave me alone?? The show was pretty good last night...guys? GUYS???? come back!!! I miss you!!

((((((HUGS))))))) headaches= stress + illnesss + stress + stress + illness - try to let some of it go if you can (not that I think anyone could, given the overwhelming circumstances) We all love you here, and SOO many of us are praying not only for your physical health, but for the entire situation you are living through!!! It is frequently said that God never gives us more than we can handle, so he definitely knows how incredibly strong you are!!!!!!! (that was supposed to be a funny) Take care of yourself first and foremost so that you can take care of the loved ones around you (and, of course, the not so likeable ones, too!) By the way, what video games do you play? I am personally a Kingdom Hearts freak! I played the first one a zillion times, and I'm about to finish the second one...my poor house is in shambles!!! Thank goodness today is my last day of work - now maybe I'll have time for my family, my house, and my GAME!!!hehehe Love you, Crystal. . . keep your head high (even with the ice pack perched on top) ~cheri

Congrats, girl!!! For graduating AND being 202 - you have such a bright future!!!! -
So, I haven't heard (can you believe it?! my sources must've quit prying) what next week's performances will be... I DO know that Taylor is right here in B'Ham scooping up the local love! My hubby SO wanted to go see him perform this afternoon....but, alas, we can't. Children's activities always come first (dadgum it!!!!) So, anyone got the scoop on next week's song stylings??
-
Super Daddy!!!! I'm astonished - Bo is definitely not a Disneyland wanna be!!!!!! (BTW, he's playing a concert at Birmingham's amusement park, Visionland, later this summer) Hope you know I'm just kidding~! Bo is a household name here, and we are all proud of him, but he has been spurned because of AI! He didn't want the big life either, I actually feel sorry for these guys/gals who get into the cometition not knowing what they're headed for! The limelight can be a spirit-killer, y' know?? Sad, sad, sad!

Man, oh man, oh man! Chris was the only hot one on there (not to mention his great voice)! If you've read my other posts, you know that I'm a huge fan of Chris, Taylor, and Elliot...but I'm not a huge Katherine fan! She should have gone home so many times now...she has lived in the bottom three lately! I even think she believed it should've been her!!!! Who can forget the words to Elvis songs, I know, I know, she's a bundle of nerves...but how's it gonna be when she's on tour and you're spending a car payment to go see her forget the lyrics? I am soooo sad to see Chris go, makes me wonder now what is going to happen - I have thought all along that Chris and Kellie would be the final 2 - make that Chris and Taylor - and now? who's it going to be??? Chris will do just fine, he's got the talk show circuit for the next couple of weeks, then rehearsals for the tour, then the tour, by the end of the tour I am hoping he has a great gig fronting an awesome band!!!! If he can get away from the Idol stigma, that is!?!?!? I really hope Taylor and Elliot are the final two. Sorry, Katherine fans, but anyone who goes to Beverly Hills High really doesn't need American Idol. She will do just fine. Taylor has such a huge fan base that he should be just fine too! But, I worry that Elliot would not do so well without the Idol win. Just my, um, couple dollars' worth, I guess! ~cheri

I ran over an ipod because I was high!!! I must've been, 'cause I should've sold it on ebay!!!! hehehhe -
Woo-Hoo!! Rock on . . . now, you are going to be added to my "I Hate You" list!! Just kiddin', but I sure am envious!! Way to go!!! ~cheri

I think Katherine will go tonight, too. She really didn't do so well last night... she must be one who cracks under pressure, because I really thought she would make a showstopper out of "Falling in Love With You". She stopped the show, alright, but not in the way I had envisioned!!!! Taylor sure was a cutie last night, and he touched me with the "Ghetto" - I had never heard it before, and he gave me goosebumps!!! Chris was great as well, but what in the world was that noise emitting from him at the end of "Litle Less Conversation"? I never thought I'd hear an Elvis song end with a wail... he looked incredible, and sounded radio-ready (as usual!) Elliott was alright...it was hard for me to hear him sing Elvis because he has such a, hmmm, different voice. I liked him, but I didn't really know either song he chose! Well, we'll see who has a bad day... one of my sources say it will be Chris (But I hope not!!!!!) 'til tomorrow! ~cheri

BigPaul always makes me feel really good about myself. He's funny and silly but really smart right when you need him to be. DeLarla TellyMelly keeps me motivated on days I think I want to slack and theres always a smile on my face when I'm talking to her, she just keeps me laughing. She brightens my day! Cutiern reminds me of my daughter. I love how she is young, independent, and willing to make financial sacrifices to change her life. Dawg is a great husband. Selfless and supportive. He lives a banded lifestyle, without the band, so that he may succeed along side his wife. Pennie always seems so level-headed and diplomatic. I really admire that. Jack cracks me up with the use of his warped sense of humour in the manner in which he offers practical advice. Humour and practicalilty...great match and I always appreciate his input. (I also like his avatar!!) The best me (Kathy) has one of the most loving and tender hearts I've ever seen. She is always caring and giving to others even when she's needing support for herself. Her love of God and her desire to be a better servant shows in every post. Paula is my sweet Band-daughter and I'm so proud of how genuinely sweet she is and how her caring heart and love of God shows by her actions towards all others Iluvharleys has a good heart and is always so thoughtful, kind and caring always thinking of others in their time of need. NJChick (Eileen) Cracks me up!!!! She brings a smile to my face no matter what the topic. Bandland would be a boring place without her : - ) VinesQueen reminds me never to give up no matter how bad things seem at the time and encourages me that I should dance my heart out no matter whos watching~and I wish she would hurry up and get back on LBT!!! Michelle, without a doubt the most inspirational person to me. Even while having her own family problems, she finds time to come here and offer her help. She's a great person! Susan (PhotoNut) is one of the most supportive and knowledgeable people I've ever known. EmileeKaye is the sweetest, most genuinely nice and wholehearted bandster and online personality I have ever met.. and I have met quite a few. The sun shines on her goodness and it feels really nice to surround myself with people like this. K@t has been my friend and support since the moment I joined this group. She listens and gives without asking in return and makes me feel anything is possible. DeLarla is my vision of independence, strength, wisdom and trust and has always been a person that speaks her mind and has gained a tremendous amount of respect from me as an intelligent and witty person. StrawartS is smart and funny, and she has the strong personality I admire, yet she's kind. Plus, her screen name is a Palindrome. It's spelled the same backward and forward. Very Cool. Kathy (best me) Jenna (princess n thep) is always honest and straight foward. And she is a great booty dancer. Kathy was kind and gentle with me when I was cursing over my first PB. I was shocked by her generous spirit at first, but now I see that that's how she treats everyone. And her baby is pretty cute. And I don't even like babies. The NJ Board: I can't chose just one person because so many have come to my rescue. They give their heart and soul and they do it with compasion and love. *Cheers NJ Board, I Love You ALL* Since I have known Mychevygirl (DeAnn), she has shown incredible inner strength, focus and determination in the midst of extremely trying times. She has kept a positive, happy attitude in spite of the stresses she has endured, and she has a smile that shines through her words because it comes from her heart. FunnyDuddies is a beautiful, intelligent, loving woman who's quit witt and sense of humor is a blessing to those around her. She makes me smile, and I feel so bless to call her my sis. She has also earned my respect and admiration for showing a deep inner strength during times of adversity. MoOrless is another one of my personal inspirers. She has lost weight all on her own. Reading her posts have been a great eye opener, showing me that weight loss is nothing more than willpower and self-control, which she displays very well. She cheers me on as I do my wild goose chases with myself and she keeps me motivated, letting me know daily that every goal I set for myself, no matter how outlandish it may seem, is very possible and attainable. I thank her for believing in me, (a complete stranger). Alex is the best thing ever...he has given us this board as a place to learn, laugh, commiserate, cry,...pretty much whatever we are in need of!! And...he just keeps making it better!!! Thanks, Alex!!!!!!!

Yum! Which tastes the best?
Cheri replied to sleepyjean's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I can almost guarantee that whoever is voting on other things has never had to use fleet phosphorous soda!!!!!! Believe me, I will opt out of having something done if I am ever told I have to take it again!!!!! UGHHHHH! You don't even want to throw it up because you don't want to taste it again!!!!!! -
I'm not sure if they are doing 1 Elvis/1 Something else, or 2 Elvis... I figured someone would do Suspicious Minds...guess I need to dust off the Elvis Albums and find a record player...oh, wait, I have them on CD somewhere!! Doesn't it seem weird that you can buy music that was big ages ago on CD, but you can't buy new music on an LP??? just thinkin' Kat - she always picks the bigguns, maybe she'll do Falling in Love w/You, or maybe My Way - she'll do alright...I just hope she sings on her feet this week!!! hehehhee I would say Chris will do Jailhouse Rock 'cause it's pretty rockin' and we all know how much he likes rock (I'd love to see his CD collection) Elliot - hmmm...I really have no idea what he'll do, but he'll sound good doing it! I think Taylor will blow everyone else away this week, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a big fan!!!! I have the cure for our Idol Boredom Blues - ABBA night!!!!! They would have to dress the part, too! Can you just imagine Chris in a 'fro?!?!
-
Actually... some of the stores are carying plus sizes now! I have perused the plus size department at the Old Navy in Douglasville, GA, but the selection is VERY limited!!! Talk to your local Old Navy...heck, have all of you plus-sized friends talk to them, too! The clothes are available, they just have to know there is a need!!! Hope they can fix ya up!!!

Next week is Elvis week - should be okay! I'm bored too - I haven't personally voted since Mandisa left, but I still watch religiously!!! Maybe they need to have them perform live somewhere else?? Like outside somewhere? maybe in their underwear? or nude? or do duets with stars? something...anything?!?!?! I think the commercials are the best part of the week. And they need to just not let Randy or Paula talk - they're getting so old with the same comments! I remember the season with Reuben and Clay - they got more personal with them - showed their makeovers, shopping trips, and cooking & goofing off at the Idol house...now they have 'em holed up in little efficiency apartments (at least that's what I've heard!) I don't like not learning about their personalities (except what Ryan gives us which could be complete bull!) I admit it, I am a complete reality crap junkie... I even watched Flavor of Love , you know, the show on VH1 with flava flav??? They are all getting old. I've even heard die-hard survivor fans complaining about the same old same old!!! Bored, but hopeful! ~cheri
