I also get them if I eat to fast or don't chew like I should. They're not much fun so I try to avoid them.

I am losing about 2 lbs per week. The first couple of weeks after being banded it was more like 5 a week. I have had 1 fill and go for the 2nd on June 3rd. I've not been able to get all of my walking in this nor last week (my daughter has lots of end of school year activies). I will try to get back on the walking track as soon as I can to help my losing.

Just wanted to see if there are any more 28th bandsters around and how they are doing. I'm doing good, down 19 lbs since surgery. I go for my first fill on Tuesday (thank the Lord). I look forward to hearing from everyone.

My first fill is scheduled for Tuesday the 6th. Need it badly, my doctor does not fill at all during surgery. So far I have lost 19 lbs since surgery. I will post again after my fill. -
Banded 03/28/08 down 19 lbs. Way to go everyone, keep up the good work.

I also have UHC, they also required the 6 month diet thing, however I had that in my medical records. I had a $100 copayment and the Dr. office and $100 copayment @ the surgery center. Thank goodness my husband has such good insurance.

I was banded on 03/28 and noticed my incinsions starting to itch a little right afterwords, however as time passed it got worse until I finally called my doctor on day 9 post-op. They told me to drop by the office so they could take a look. It turned out that I was allergic to the glue on the steri strips. The nurse removed the remaining ones and instructed me to buy some Hydracortisone and to take liquid benedryl. Boy did it help. I'm now 3 weeks post op tommorrow and everything is good, no more itching

I'm doing good. Sleep most of Friday when I got home. (pain meds I guess). Sat-chilled around the house not much pain except for the gas pains. Sun-got up and showered (yes, finally) went to Wal-Mart w/husband, did laundry and felt good. I did take pain med before bed so I could attempt to sleep on my stomach (can't sleep on my back very well). Mon- got up and came to work, did have to take 1/2 dose of pain med around lunch, now it's almost time to go home. I feel a little more tired than usaully not noting big. I'll probably take another does of pain med to sleep w/tonight. Hope everyone is doing good also.

Soda - Is this dumb?
tntexas replied to SanDiegoPhotog's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also thought it would be hard to give up however i stoped drinking anykind of carbonated drink in my 2 week pre-op diet and now I can't stand the taste of it (diet or reg). I have to admit I did try one last Coke a few days before my surgery and thought I was gonna puke. It was way to sweet!!! Yah for all of us who kicked the habbit. -
Tommorrow is the big day. I hope all goes well for all of us 28th banders.
-
Thanks K podski, just wanted to make sure I had the right ones.

I am being banded on the 28th and in the process of getting all of my stuff together for after the surgery. I have one question about the Gas-X strips, are the the ones that you put on your tongue? :confused2:
-
Congrats! I am scheduled for the 28th.

My band date is also the 28th. I started my pre-op diet this past Saturday and the first 3 days were really tough. Today i did get to start eating a small salad and now I think I'll make it.

Pre-Op diet...does it get better?
tntexas replied to wickman2617's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started my pre-op diet on Saturday the 15th and it is very hard. I find myself missing just chewing food. I got to start eating a small salad in place of 1 of the shakes today and I never thought I would love the taste of salad like I did today. My band date is the 28th of this month and I think I'll make it now. Hang in there! tntexas to be banded 03/28/08 in Texarkana
