Has anyone else made an Instagram for their WLS journey? I love it! Instead of forum based like on here(which I love as well) Instagram is all pictures. It's amazing to see others journeys and even though I'm just starting mine others can see mine too! Well if you have or you're interested my user is mariahsgettingfit. If you wanna follow or just take a peek or hey I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who has one drop questions or usernames in the comments. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Part time work; taking off for surgery
mstolfi posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know all of those with grown up jobs most likely have an easier time taking leave for surgery. I'm getting my surgery over my Christmas break which is a month long so I feel that'll be a long enough time. But I am wondering what do others do who maybe work retail or other hourly positions? I've been looking into weight loss surgery for a few years unfortunately my in network surgeons you have to be 18. No I don't want any negative comments about adolescents getting WLS. I'm currently almost 18 and my surgeon has agreed to start the process even though my surgery will not be until after I am 18. I'm going out of state for college and I would of loved to have become healthy before school started but now I am looking around December for my surgery date. I guess any tips, any encouraging words, and even better I just wanna hear everyone's stories! Anyone else braving the holiday season with a new surgery? Young and getting the bypass
mstolfi replied to achappex3's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm hoping it'll keep me out of trouble in college. knowing I can't eat like crap or party because it'll upset my stomach. Only down fall is my surgeon is in Wisconsin and I'll be in Colorado. So it'll be lots of trips home for post op appointments. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I love seeing young people do it too! Even though I'm still technically younger haha almost 18. I had to wait until then to really start the process but my surgeon agreed to start seeing me early so we can get everything ready. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
