Wow, so a handsome dude gets away with saying more? Shocking! Heehee...

ATD, there is no condom that I know of (but.....I've been married the last 12 years, so things could have changed) that feels like nothing. There are "ultra thins" in most brands, but even then, if you are not used to wearing condoms, it's a strange sensation. On the plus side, the slight diminishment of sensation should make the BF last a lot longer. And that means more exercise for you both. :crying: Cheers to better health!!

My, my, my......it's not a good year to be a vols fan. I hope they take down Georgia (Uh, it is Georgia, right? Or do I have that mixed up?). Tennessee is a good team, they need a better coach.

Awww, Y'all know I love chatting with all my homies here on LBT! It's virtually the only interaction I get at work (Hospital firewall blocks most boards / blogs....There is a sleep-related board I can access, but those guys are not as much fun. All they want to do is talk brain waves) besides my patients, and who wants to talk to them, lol.

Jack, is it a psychodelic strawberry Alarm Clock belt?!? Heeheee....

Tap, you're quite the optimist! Good of you and your baby to conform to the doc schedule. Just be sure to not go into labor until she ok's it. SNT, I had the same problem. The Elmer's glue never would hold, and it ended up just smearing my monitor...

You've described me to a tee!! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to watch "Hee-Haw"...I have it taped on my betamax.

Sucks to have very little support, JRG. I'm sorry for you. Don't give up.

Glouc, please don't discuss our prior relationship on the web. I've changed.

I'm so depressed, I think this was the worst mistake ever.

Hi Blackcherry. I'm not trying to sound overly snarky, but how did you not know about the fills? Did your surgeon not do a good job of explaining things to you (because, as I found out, some don't. Some docs just run a cash-grab, and don't explain anything to their patients). Here's my advice: Cut out the fast food completely. It'll save you money and calories. Also, continue walking, and exercise...it really helps. Eat until you are not hungry...not until you are "full" (there's a big difference. Eat slowly, and your body will gradually learn the difference). Lastly, be patient and don't give up. You can do this, but it takes time. -
Ideas on how to keep my surgery private from coworkers?
plain replied to adamsmom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your doc probably won't clear you to lift anything over 5 lbs for about 6 weeks. There are internal stitches that have to heal, as well as the incisional area. If you don't want to tell, then don't. If saying you had gallbladder surgery gets you out of lifting for 6 weeks, then I'd say it. However, you should realize that your eating habits will probably be dramatically different (after surgery, most of us had to do liquids for a time, then mushies, then soft foods before we were able to eat real food), so if you tell a white lie about the surgery, you may have to come up with another one to cover your new diet. -
Ya know...this gets thrown out a lot. The thing is, "separation of Church and State" means that the government is not legally able to force any citizen to practice any certain religion (ie, "Church of England").

Blue haired Mac is the shiz-nit!! I was gonna clean my room, but I got high.... Hey hey! excellent!!

FF, take lots o' pain killas. To hell with concerns of meds crossing the placental barrier....
-
Out of respect for pregnancy, and LJM and FF....I will avoid a vulgar "vagina + cakewalk" joke. You're welcome. Leave all tips in the tip jar, plz.

I did the online WW for 6 months to fufill my 6 month supervised diet obligation. Here's hoping your insurance will be as lenient!

That's cool....Myself, I was happier being in my own bed. Being in the hospital would have been very boring for me. Of course, I know most of the nurses, so I'm sure the "Foley cath" and "Fleet's enema" jokes would have been unbearable.

OMG......I've been one-upped.....

Ok, I'm in! I won't be any serious competition, but it'll be good for me to have a little accountability. I'm starting today, and I'll weigh in every Thursday like Mike.

What!! I'm a new-age sensitive PC dude. Just ask my be-yotch. C'mon Leslie! Quit griping about it and enjoy the compliment! lol

Screw everybody here! I hate you all....

Well, this is kind of fuzzy logic as well. 1)There are very few mothers that have ZERO support today. Look at WIC and welfare. Is it a great system? Hells naw! But they're not exactly left to their own wits and devices (and if somebody was driven to have a better life, they could, uh, not have any more kids, and start work / school as soon as the baby started school...but that's off point). 2) This is a bit disingenuous. Pro-lifers are not automatically pacifists. There's a difference between a baby and a terrorist, IMO. But as a country, we'd better be on the lookout for...baby terrorists!! 3) - nothing wrong with being born into extreme poverty. Both my parents were. Growing up, if they didn't grow or shoot their food, they didn't eat....and there were plenty of times they went without. There were some abuse / alcohol issues with their parents. My parents are first gen college grads. They were ignorant of scholarships, and so worked full-time to go to school. My point is, in America, most everybody has a chance. Being aborted is zero chance. If I wrote much more, I'd have to publish this post as a novel, eh?
-
I get your point, Gadget, but I think it's a little black and white. I would actually have to put myself in the pro-choice camp. As a Christian, I think abortion is a sin.....but my deal is that I don't think the federal government should legislate the issue. I think it should become a states' rights issue. I think I would not support abortion in any way, but I don't want the fed sticking their fingers into my (or any American's) life any more than they already do. Ironically, that's one of the reason's I'll probably vote McCain.
