New to site & idea of lap band
plain replied to jerseygirljen's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
A pine float - LMFAO! I have never heard of that before. Is that a regional saying? Too funny.... As far as the band goes, I personally can eat almost anything, if I follow the rules (eat slowly, small bites, small portions, no drinking with meals, etc). Some very soft doughy breads and very very dry meats sometimes give me trouble, but that's about it. A good first step would be for you to attend an informational seminar in your area. That'll give you the opportunity to ask specific questions to a surgeon, as well as giving you an overview of band life. Good luck in whatever you choose! -
Well teech, that sounds pretty rough. However, it has to kinda feel good to be vindicated......as it sounds like your ex was not the man you thought he was. Bask in the now. You've certainly landed on your feet.

The new evidence was that the cellmate of the accused illegal immigrant told authorities that the illegal immigrant confessed to him to doing the crime. Based on that, I think they're able to legally get a DNA sample to compare to whatever was left at the scene.

That's where Gloria Allred came into the picture. She apparently negotiated that deal (or at least is claiming credit for it). Heh.....Allred still cracks me up.

Ok movie reviewers....this weekend I saw Friday the 13th. Not bad for a remake. Jason kills lots o' people....lots o' blood....lots o' boobs... Not really scary per se, but there were some "startle ya" moments. And the guy that plays Jason looks HUGE. Not a bad popcorn film.

I had a bison steak once, in a restaurant. It was pretty good...

Dear Seuss, I never expected this to happen to me. I was hitchhiking in the mountains when a carload of cheerleaders stopped and asked if I needed a ride...

I wasn't supposed to tell this, but......LBT is only slow for the uncool people. Sorry. I like tall chicks. Preferably with big boobs. Can you set a brotha up?? Shhhhhh, don't tell my wife....

Sad. I figured Condit had something to do with it.

Confession: I don't really like it when guys hit on me.

Is Casey Anthony guilty?
plain replied to Carrie_C's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well, I hate to be a party pooper, but technically, she's still innocent until the jury's verdict. It's used in industrial cleaning That makes a lot of sense about the grandparents' behavior....latent guilt that they may have contributed to the girl's death by trying to make their daughter be responsible...Man, that'd be rough... -
I like Palin ok. I think the repubs went ape for her because she espoused conservative values....something McCain didn't really have going for him (what with the aforementioned liberal immigration policies and such). I still think it's funny that feminists crucified Palin after griping that Hiliary was treated in a sexist manner. Probably no republican would have won....simply because of the effective democrat slogan of "voting for x is like 4 more years of Bush"....but everybody's gotta admit that McCain didn't try very hard. If the election had been a boxing match, I'd have accused McCain of taking a dive. I was a Mitt Romney man, myself. He was much more conservative than McCain, and was much more economy-saavy. I think Romney's Mormonism ended up beating him, which is unfortunate.

You are even more in touch with your inner anchorman....and for that, ma'am, I salute you.

Hey Frogstar, I just wanted to let you know that losing a pound / week is not too shabby at all!! It sounds cliche', but losing this weight is not a sprint, it's a marathon. Slow and steady wins the race. Hang in there!! Good luck!

At the risk of revealing myself to be intellectually challenged, I <heart> The Onion.

Sorry, I cannot speculate on your husband's motives.....Guy code, ya know.

She voted for me. Thanks Beth. Maybe 2012 will be my year.

Hope it all goes well, Ginger. Good luck on the running time....It takes me more than 10 minutes to even think about running a mile. Strangely though, they both make me break out into a sweat.

Yup, I'm afraid you are smack dab in the middle of "bandster hell", mz. It sucks......but the good news is that it gets easier as you progress to more substantial food. It generally takes several fills to really get restriction. Even better news: You can totally do this!! -23 lbs is an awesome start. Hang in there!

Hey, congrats, shakia! Good luck!!
