Because even the mods aren't on here 24 / 7. I usually sign on around 6:00 PM, so any reported thing before then is just gonna have to wait.....even if it's a notification that I've won the "internet lottery". Different because it's composed of different DNA. That means that everybody could catch it (even people that have recieved a regular flu shot). It's not a particulary strong strain (like you said, so far the mortality is way below regular flu), and the people that really have to worry about death are the usual customers.....the very young, the very old, and the immunocompromised. However, because nobody has immunity to the swine flu, it could be problematic (for instance, what if every doctor and nurse in town had the flu at the same time? Every policeman? Every soldier?) for the week or so until our bodies can shake it.

Don't go to work if you even THINK you MIGHT be getting sick. The oldsters are some of the most at-risk population.

So THAT's how you avoid all the covert government brainwashing!! I have to get me one o' them!!

Yep. Straight up Beverly Hillbillies. But I still say "seament" like Jethro did. Sorry tap....I'm a toozday kind o' guy. Must....not....give in to urge to use inappropriate innuendo.....must...not....

There's no commandment stating "Thou shalt not get false boobs". In fact, I applaud her courage in getting fake boobs. If only all women were this brave.....:biggrin: I assume you mean the prop 8 stuff? Funny how the majority of people in California are "bigots", just because they don't agree with you.

Hi Dan. You might get more / better responses if you post this question in the "age specific support group" forum. You can find it if you scroll down from the home page. -
Hi Kimberly, welcome to lapbandtalk! Congrats on getting approved for the band!! There's a lot of stuff to read here and a lot of cool people to chat up (unfortunately, I'm not one of them. The "cool kids" won't let me sit at their lunch table, lol). So get busy snooping around. Good luck!

If you want to look like a man, just get a fake beard. It's what I do.......er......I mean, I grow out my own manly beard.

Gay or straight, she was looking strangely good while working out. The weird thing is.....I normally detest the 3% bodyfat look- at- my- ripped- 12- pack women.

OMG.....I want to toussle her hair!!!

Well, if it had been a lady (and MY injured foot) I would have politely asked her to please refrain from hitting my injured foot with her cart. If it had been a dude, I would politely have said "2 bumps with your cart are free. The next one means one of us is leaving with a wupped ass"......then I would have screamed like a schoolgirl and done that wild slappy thing that fighting chicks do.

Wow....was it wrong that Jillian got A LOT hotter when she was working out?!? Yee-Haw!! Yeah, I'm sexist...so what?

Hahahaha...."Funpillows!!"

I say "roof".....but it almost has 2 syllables with my accent. I have to 'fess up that I do say seament (like swimming in the seament pond).

I think it was the unpopular answer in the room. And as much as I defend FOX news to some other posters, I have to admit they got this one wrong. He called her worse than that. He called her the word that ends in u-n-t and is not "aunt". He's a classy, classy dude. I totally totally support civil unions and all legal rights thereof. I would vote against gay marriage, if it came up for a vote in my state, even though I have numerous gay friends. I can't even really articulate a good reason that I feel that way....but I do. I wouldn't describe myself as homophobic.

Deep-brain stimulation scares the poop out of me. I would have to have a terminal condition before I would consider it.

Emergency advice needed...
plain replied to blue_monkey's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
???? You can become dependant on IV Fluid like you can get dependant on oxygen......that is, not at all. If you're still vomiting, they're not working. WTF, Claire?!? Are you residing in the United States? Because before I get all worked up on how incompetant your docs have been, I want to be sure there's not a cultural difference (Foreign doctors vs. American doctors). But here's the real issue.....Is this a for real post? Does it seem normal to you that you cannot hold much liquid down and no food? And that the solution is to start toning your muscles? -
Received letter from insurance

Hey, that's great news 39 (about the insurance approval.....not the gallbladder, lol)!! -
Allow me to introduce myself...
plain replied to rspangler7's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey Eric. We're glad to have you here. You are right to be concerned about the band.....that just tells me that you're actually putting some thought into it vs. jumping in blindly. Consideration is always a good thing with any surgery. You might want to check under the "doctors and hospitals" section on the main page. There might be some info on Dr. Curry or hospitals in Cincy there. So, you'll have a much better idea of what the band entails once you go to a seminar. In the meantime, please feel free to snoop around here and ask annoying questions (I love to do that, lol). Good luck, man! -
Hey Vinca, it's cool that you found a doc that you really "clicked" with. Since you recommend him so highly, maybe you should post your opinion of him under the "doctors and hospitals" section on the home page. It seems like more people read the subforums than the "intro" section.

I dunno, Fanny, but I DO know that you deserve success. Perhaps we both need to be psychoanalyzed, eh? I'm not sure the world is ready for a peek into my subconscious

Cute Doggie!

I really don't have a good answer for you, fanny, but I'll tell you this: You're not alone. I figured out a while ago that I'm way more a "reward" eater than a "stress" or "depression" eater.
