  4. Suppose I hit the 3 week stall. Scale hasn't moved in about a week and a half and I'm starting to think it never will again...

stalls are a bummer!!! if the scale hasn't moved for at least 3 weeks - that's a stall- scale not moving about one week, that' frustration!!! it will move if i have to come over and kick it!!! LOL - don't worry, you will start to lose weight again, while you win the game!! good luck - kathy

Happened to me at just 2 weeks out. Nothing to fret over, your body is just readjusting. I noticed a big drop in the tape measure during that first stall, so try paying more attention to that than the scale :)

  5. 2 days until I can have FOOD again! Been a long 5 weeks.

I think it is the hardest part of it! I look forward to hearing your progress

  6. Hey everyone! Do any of you have any recommendations for a good unflavored protein powder? I went to a local health food store and I was overwhelmed at all of the types available. Thanks!
  7. I lost nothing the first week. On day 7 post op I was finally back to the weight of the day of my surgery. I am now 18 days post op and down 30 pounds from the start of my 2 week pre op diet and 18 pounds since surgery. I tend to hold fluid and have not been on my Lasix since surgery so it's likely due to all of the IV fluids.
  8. @@snokb04 I am also seeming to be a slow loser and feel like I am doing something wrong but I am following the plan. I weighed more than my surgery date for 6 days then I finally started losing. Just 7 1/2 lbs since the actual surgery and 19 1/2 since the start of the 2 week liquid diet. Some are losing 15 in just a week and I am baffled. I suppose everyone is just different. :/
  9. Thank you both. I would just like to fast forward about a week! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Hey everyone. I had my surgery Tuesday and I know it's only been 2 days but for those of you that had a lot of pain in your abdomen how long till it got better? My left incision is extremely bruised and so sore. Very difficult to get around. I managed to walk about 13 minutes today, aside from the walking I did around the house. No pain med seems to help. 11. I noticed the same thing I am 5 pounds heavier than the morning of my surgery. I have been assured not to worry. I've been checking my temp and haven't had one yet but it is the same with my surgeon, 101 or higher. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Sleeved :-)

Thanks everyone! Glad you are doing well, @@beylove I'm just having terrible pain with one incision on my left side. And tired Of sipping already! But at least the surgery is over and I can work on recovery. Good luck to you as well!
  13. Hey everyone! Just a little update, I had my hiatal hernia repair and gastric sleeve Tuesday and was in the hospital one night. Everything went very smoothly aside from the fact that we had tornado weather and we had to be moved into the hall lol. I am extremely sore on my left side but they were able to remove my drain and I passed the swallow test. Since I am able to tolerate Water and Protein I was released and I am now home. Just wanted to say thank you for all of the kind words, prayers and messages. You are all a great bunch of people! -BD
