Does your doctor require you to cut out caffeine @@SweetCin72 - could that be the problem? I wasn't required to but I tried to cut caffeine the first day and nope wasn't happening. Had some black coffee the 2nd day and the headache went away. We are giving up so much at once I think I'll just tackle caffeine another day Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

It wasn't my first choice either but this is where I am so I decided to go forward. Sounds like it's certainly a good option for your situation. They are also fixing a hiatal hernia for me as well. I was doing great until I got an approval and had a surgery date then I started eating whatever I wanted unfortunately. pizza, chocolate, you name it! I gained 5 pounds back very quickly that I had lost on my own. Luckily I do have a 14 day pre-op liquid diet so that is taking it back off and then some. It is really an emotional thing for me, it is so hard to give up food. Something I still have to work on if I want to succeed long term. I have never heard of this - I would research it as well. I suppose they just don't want you to lose too much weight. My doctor advised he would be removing 80% but I have a much higher BMI. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I agree, Premier Protein is great! I use the chocolate and vanilla, taste is not bad and lots of necessary protein.
