I first had the lap band done in 2008, I had a few hernias and lots and lots of pain and severe acid reflI'd. I was then converted to a sleeve in 2012 soon the acid and more hernias came out of it I was ignored by my surgeon (San Francisco) I was told that it was my fault and I wasn't doing things right I felt downtrodden and disappointed, I waited until I was th I was told that it was my fault and I wasn't doing things right I felt downtrodden and disappointed, I went into the hospital not been able to swallow not even my tea, I had an emergency endoscopy and was later told that I had Barret's esophagus and yet another hernia. I waited until I was referred to Dr. Higa in Fresno, he is a wonderful doctor and now I am being converted to a Bypass. Dr. Higa is wonderful and actually listened to my concerns and fears. My surgery is set for 10-25-2016. Wish me luck!
