I'm from DE and have had the surgery Jan 25th. Anyone else from DE? I was curious about support groups or anyone local to me. I'm in lower Delaware. Thanks!

Can't find a great tasting whey protein powder
cindyb15 replied to cbchvz76's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I couldn't either cbchvz76. I have actually learned to drink premixed protein drinks, I am currently drinking Premiere shakes, each one has 30 grams of protein. I am currently suffering hair loss and I know it's because I need to step up the proteins. Don't give up! -
Congratulations! Will be great when you can share a picture. Keep up the good work!

I am 3 months post-op and I am not taking in as much as I should. I don't find food appealing and when I eat I feel sick; so I don't eat. Protein shakes are disgusting...I've tried many different pre made, as well as powders. Surgeon is watching for another 6 weeks and then I may have to have sleeve stretched....anyone else have this problem? I'm sooooo discouraged! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Thanks everyone! I am trying my best to get my Protein in. Found a Protein shake with 30G in a single drink....if I ice it down, I can get it in over an hour or so. Found some high Protein Bars that I like, just have to watch the sugars in them. You are right Zoes.Realm, we will work thru this! So worth it! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Status post surgery something went wrong
cindyb15 replied to my eyes are hungry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon explained to me that sometimes there can be a narrowing of the remaining stomach; I have experienced the same symptoms, but not to the extreme you have. He explained to me that occasionally that area needs to be stretched out through endoscopy. I hope the best for you. I can only imagine how you just feel.
