I'm in a 15lb lifting restriction until jan 11. Just curious how everyone started out lifting? After the restriction is cleared just jump right in? Or should I start out light on machines? Walking and doing pool stuff now just ready to get back to lifting.

So I am 4 weeks post op. I was doing some work in our pond for the HOA and I was coming up out of the Water and I felt a pop where my big incision is on the left side. When I got home I noticed that my belly isn't all sunken in at that spot any more. It doesn't hurt and I will call the dr in the am. But just a little worried I tore something inside. I've really been trying to take it easy but I am not a good at just sitting around. Thanks
-
All right thanks ladies. It was just kinda a weird thing and the wife has been on me to take it easy.

Take it easy and rest up my man. I hated giving myself those shots. -
Scored a $100 dehydrator for $5 at the goodwill. I will have to see if I have any antelope left in the freezer. Think I'm still a couple weeks away from jerky

What was your defining moment?
Cander replied to Dknal2's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Dknal2 you got this. Your doing great Mine was this summer. I have always been an outdoors guy. Grew up hunting a fishing. Took the family on a float trip on the buffalo River. I couldn't get out of the damn canoe. I literally had to roll out into the river then stand up. Went to the dr and was 404! A coworker had just had the sleeve and we started talking about it. I did all the steps and was 351 on surgery day nov 30. Dec 19 I was 326 going to get on the scale christmas morning and see what it says. -

After 93 pnds how can I gain healthy weight (muscle)
Cander replied to bariatrica14's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Lift heavy weight. Most women are scared to lift heavy but that's what it takes to build muscle. My wife is a convert and loves weight training now. Squats, deadlifts, rows, bench press. Strong lifts 5x5 is a good place to start. Give it a Google. -
I was 404 on July 10. I was sleeved nov 30 and weighed 351. Today I weiged 329. My son weighs 72 pounds it's crazy to think I have already lost him in weight. 104 to go can't wait to get there

Good luck man. I'm getting the knife at 12:30 tomorrow myself. I'm more scared about the catheter than getting my dang stomach cut out -
Going under the knife tomorrow. Can't wait to join you guys. I have the squat rack in the garage ready. I got to bust my ass hoping to do a tough mudder with my brother and sister in law in July

Being down 12 pounds in the first 5 days is keeping me on track -
Start my liver shrink diet next Tuesday. I see so many different doctors have types. What did yours look like?
Cander replied to Mikey Fleck's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm starting today. 4 protien shakes a day. -
Getting the sleeve on nov 30. Just wondering how long to be off work? A week? 2 weeks? A coworker had it done missed a week of work no problems did great. Another did it missed a week got a leak and wound up in the hospital for a month. I drive a forklift unloading rail road cars. Not super physical work but a lot of bouncing around and opening the doors can be tough but I can get a coworker to do that. Think a week is sufficient?

First night using the new cpap. Didn't go too bad. Head feels a little weird. I tried to use one of these 5/6 years ago but the dang thing gave me sinus infections. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Well guys I met the surgeon and my case manager yesterday. Officially got this thing started. Took awhile for me to get over the im a failure why can't I do this on my own part. Now I'm just looking forward to being the dad my kids think I am. But seriously you guys have any regrets? Anything you would of done different? I'm done being 390 pounds. Dr said I'd be about 250. I said I will see 200-215 again I'm ready to tear the gym up. Even thinking about joining karate with my kids after the surgery. Well thanks for reading just kinda had to get it off my chest.
