I'm a professional trumpet player and got the sleeve on April 5. My doctor told me to wait 2 weeks to play which I will do (outside of the occasional 1 note long tone to prove to myself I still got it). Any other musicians out there? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My doctor told me to wait 3 days before using my CPAP (I think). How long did you guys wait before going back to your CPAP. I got the sleeve. For me the CPAP is amazing and I want to get back on it. Thanks

Update: 10 days after my surgery I picked up my trumpet and felt fine. I did have to go slower obviously at first but now at day 12 I feel normal. I don't think I'm breathing as deep as I would have before but I know that's just my mind getting in the way. I'm resuming my full schedule tomorrow. 2 weeks is this Tuesday and my post op appointment is Thursday. Now that I'm back to practicing I recognize how important playing he trumpet is to me, which is good. I made the correct career choice. -
How are all the April 4's doing?

4/5 for me. The food thing sucks, but mostly because it's hard for me to say no to food. I also miss going out to eat with my wife and/or friends. But I keep telling myself that everything will be okay. In a couple months I'll be able to do that just with a way smaller quantity of food! Also I feel like I'm lucky. I spent 1 night in the hospital then was discharged. I went home and had some tough time sleeping that night and spent a lot of the night walking behind my house. Since that 2nd day, I've really felt fine walking a lot and sticking to the diet. Honestly, I kind of feel normal and ready to get back to the grind. I'm a lucky one! Looking forward to the next 40 years! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

So I got home this evening and so far no real pain just lots of gas. Currently it's 1am on the west coast USA and I'm walking up and down my ally to relieve it. Most of what I've read has been that walking is really the best way. Still just burning though nothing coming out the other end despite how much I want it to. Anybody else?
