Well anything below 50g will keep you in ketosis if you are avoiding sugars.... maybe try going slightly above that for 3 days and see what happens to your appetite.
Semi sliders.... lentil chips, roasted chickpeas, hummus dip with high Protein crackers.. slices of turkey, thinnly sliced salmon..
You understand the importance of your metabolism and how important it is and how long it takes to recover from a damaged one, i think health is the priority here, not weight loss... cause you have done an awesome job!

It will get a little harder once you are on soft/solid foods... but as long as you chew.. eat slowly and take your time.. you should be fine

I would suggest you really try your best to get your calories up.
By having low calories for an extended period of time it will damage your metabolism... and once it is damaged.. as soon as you go above your new RMR you will gain weight... and you already have had the bypass...conversion to other surgeries is limited.
I stupidly stayed on lower calories for 7 years.... and in hindsight i wish i had known that you could damage your metabolism doing so.... this is the reason i had to be sleeved... i was maintaining until my band failed... then once i got above 800 cal.. i gained weight quickly.. and thats eating good clean foods and small portions!
Now because of the metabolic damage i have to be at 800 for life!
Pleased try your best to increase your calories... can you add a healthier Protein rich semi slider food.. just to reach your Protein and calorie goals?
What are your macros like? Are you having small amounts of complex carbs?... reason being is that you might still be in ketosis if you are limiting your carbs.. which when in ketosis it reduces your appetite.. so that could also be contributing.

I think you need to go see your surgeon.. and DEMAND to be seen, and have a scope done... do not leave until he books you in... if you need to be a annoying and rude so be it.... you should NOT be bleeding rectally...
They need to eliminate that it is not serious... it could be nothing... it could be something... but do you want to be patiently sitting around waiting to find out.. what if it is serious? Are you willing to wait till it gets worse to find out.
Go to your emergency department and explain... do you have a health department, or a overseeing at body you can complain to regarding lack of treatment?
I would not just sit back and wait.. this is your body.. you only have one

Gosh.... another...omg you ate carb/sugars/fats... so you will gain 300 pounds and fail your sleeve/bypass/band.... argh i am so sick of hearing this sort of stuff...
I think that it is a very unhealthy approach to eating... there shouldn't be a "never again" food... it should be... i will choose to the best foods for my body, and can have all foods in moderation.
Carbohydrates are important for heath, its just about choosing the right type of carbs..... there is nothing wrong with having carbs from veggies, whole grains and whole foods.... its the highly processed crap thats the problem.
I think NUT are not educating people on the difference between good carbs/fats and bad ones....
This is not a temporary thing, its a lifetime thing... and yes during the active weightloss phase it is better to choose the food that will benefit you.....
But once you are at goal, have learnt new habits, can eat "bad" foods in moderation without binging... then why not!
Avoiding all types of carbs/fats/sugars is not healthy and sustainable long term
    Rant over lol

Absolutely not... 2 crackers probably has less carbs and sugars than some things we are "allowed" to have... its all about numbers and balance...
If i am going to have a carbier meal... i just make sure i offset the rest of my meals to not include them.. and i exercise to compensate for that... it really is that simple... but i don't go crazy either.. i have a small amount to satisfy... and don't make that my whole meal... i make sure i measure it out.. keep it to the allocated ratio of Protein to carbs

Haha i think i probably have now contributed to this lol
But what gets to me is that many of us had surgery for "health"... and by eliminating an entire food group... can not be possibly healthy... it might not affect you now... but what about in 10, 20 years?
NUTs need to educate their patients on the difference between the good and bad stuff... not just use a blanket statement by saying "nope... never again"
If you have the correct lifestyle, attitude and make good choices.... there is no reason to need to cut out a whole food group.
Older generations all ate potatoes, Pasta etc.. and they didn't have the problems we do... because they ate in moderation... were physically active ... didn't overdo it...simple rules

My condolences to you and your family. Death is something that is never easy to deal with.
I wouldn't put too much pressure on yourself, try to make good choices, but there is no need to feel guilty or stress yourself this early after the loss of your father.
Be kind to yourself, let your wounds heal, give yourself a some leniency and allow yourself to go through the grieving process.
My advice is to make the "better choice", choose the healthier option of what is available... unfortunately life does not stop when we have wls, there will be times when it is harder to stick to our plan, but as long as you have it in the back of your mind, and do not allow yourself to fall completely off the wagon, everything will become easier with time.
Be mindful not to try and "eat" your emotions, try not to "reward" your feelings.... just take each day as exactly that... one day... if you fail that one day.... try again the next.
I really hope things improve for you... sending lots of warm hugs and comfort your way *hugs*

Yeah i think that surgeon's here are a little bit more relaxed than other places.... i suggest trying to cut back on the diet coke though.... its better to cut it out now... cause you won't be able to have it later. Even without sugar, you’re still consuming something sweet and your taste buds will be used to that level of sweetness.
Better to withdraw now, than withdrawing as well as recovering
