Good luck!!! Im 5 days post op... and let.me tell you... it is completely normal to feel mixed emotions pre op. I was a mess... and now in hindsight i did all that worrying and fretting for nothing...

I had the band for 6 years.. lost 88lbs (40kg) and maintained, then i had complications and had it removed 12 months ago. I had the sleeve done 5 days ago... so ive been on both ends of the scale... literally

Hi Tina... I am really sorry to hear you are feeling so desperate that you feel the need to risk your health and safety to lose weight. Doing your own fill is extremely dangerous and you definitely do not want to be in the red zone. Bu having your band too tight you risk so many issues... eg problems with your esophagus, your stomach going over the band, herias and infection. I would seriously take myself to emergency and get yourself checked out and unfilled then refilled by a professional. As to your desperation to lose weight... having the band so tight is actually counterintuitive... you won't actually lose weight if your calories are too low. Please please please go seek professional advice, this doesn't sound right

Hey... I had my surgery on Wednesday...im 4 days out . I have had literally the easiest super quick recovery.. even the nurses were amazed... i had no nausea, gas pain or pain in general, no issues with BMs or liquids etc And even with my super duper amazing recovery i probably couldn't sit upright for 6-7 hours. I think it would depend on how you feel post op. Even though i have the best recovery, i am still taking it easy... i don't want to risk a leak

I had my sleeve done on Wednesday... i am 4 days out. I was like a crazy person the two days prior. On hindsight i wish I didn't stress myself out so much... it isnt as bad as i thought it will be Good luck though... im sure you will do great!

I think its perfectly normal to be emotional a few days out. Its a big change and adjustment... not only are you learning to eat again... you are also recovering as well as detoxing. Just ride the wave... let the crazy emotional lady free... cry at kleenex comercials if you must... Remember it is only temporary it will pass

Yeah.... basically they had us on liquid whilst in hospital... and now we have 3 weeks pureed. Ive tolerated pretty much everything so far no problems Oh and yes... i literally triple checked with my doctor.. then the clinic and the hospital... i was really suprised.. cause even when i had my band years ago i had to do liquid.

Ok... as long as i am not the only abnormal one with such a simple pain free recovery. .. i started wondering if he cut me up n forgot to do the rest!! Lol

Well lucky me then. I am assuming that once i start solids i will have more restriction? Right now i am comfortable with 1/4 cup....

Its strange though... Im expecting everything to be more complicated. I dont have any issues swallowing (im on the pureed stage) since i left hospital 2 days ago... I can eat... drink.. have had pureed meat.. yoghurt... Cereal.. etc and no problems at all. BMs are regular and normal... not on any pain meds or anti nausea meds either... literally just eating and watching tv and walking. Am i the abnormal one?? Cause.i expected at least something or did i just work myself up pre op

Well... the day is finally here... i am sitting in the admissions lounge waiting to go in... i have so many butterflies in my tummy.... Please keep me in your prayers... i need all the support i can get right now... Hopefully i will see you all on the other side....

I am starting to think my surgeon played a trick on me.... i havent had any nausea or any of the normal complaints everyone has and i am able to get my fluids in.... weird.... i am only 1 day out... is it just a honeymoon phase and once im on solids my tummy will wreak havoc?

Thank you for all your support. Its done.. i am officially a post oper... Its been relatively easy... the nurses said that i was the quickest to recover they have seen. I was up walking around a couple of hours after the drugs wore off and have been able to go above and beyond my liquid requirements.. so thats pretty good... yay to me. I am going home in a couple of hours... lets see what the next stage beings...

No... im on full liquids... ive had Water, Soup, custard and tea.. all have gone down okay... surprisingly the water is harder to drink than everything else. But it isnt as bad as i had expected... i could still manage alot more than i thought i would

Doing really well... managed to reach my fluid target... sleeping ok... surprisingly this is less painful than having the band. The only complaint is the heartburn... that is annoying

Hey.... i am doing okay.... Had the surgery late yesterday afternoon.... there was a delay. I was pretty drugged up...in and out of it once i left recovery. I have no hunger... pain is minimal.. however the heartburn is pretty annoying. Other than that... im doing ok
