    Congratulations hun! I don't really get the whole health care system in the states, it seems so foreign to me... but i am assuming this means you are getting close till you get a surgery date??? You must be excited! Do they give you a time frame?

    I know what you mean... there isn't anything i haven't tried over the last 8 years..... I've starved, overeaten, upped protein, lowered carbs, upped carbs, increased fats, exercised less, exercised more, tried lemon diets, optifast, apple cider vinegar... well you get my drift.... I've tried it all.... this is one thing that sounds counterproductive but actually works

    At 15 months of eating low calories and exercising hard can also reset your metabolic rate. One thing that really helped was having a "feeding" day.. sort of what the body builders do. So basically you eat well for 6 days a week... and have one day a week where you "feed" your body with carbs and "bad" foods. I did this towards the end of my weight loss when things slowed right down. .. i would eat well monday to Friday & sunday.... Saturday would be my naughty day where i would order a big mac or have chocolate or a high calorie meal.     Hey dude... When i lost all my weight the first time, i did have a 3 month stall... basically for me the issue was that i wasn't eating enough carbs and calories. Someone mentioned they noticed i lost more weight when i wasn't being so strict. So i decided that i would test the theory for a week... so that week i ate carbs, ate macdonalds, and just ate what i felt... and wouldn't you know it... my stall finally broke. I think because i was eating so clean and small amounts for an extended period of time, my body needed a bit of a shock...

  15. Aww thank you @@Applebootom9 i really appreciate that. Actually writing that out and having that cry was quite therapeutic.. it reminded me why i want to go back to being healthy and slim and what i do not want to be anymore. Well, i am getting there.. 28 down and only 57 pounds to go till goal!!

  17. 7.6 is still pretty full in my opinion.... i would suggest asking him for a unfill to enable everything to go back into place. Be your own advocate... cause it will be you that suffers if you have a full slip... then you could possibly have to go through a complete removal... Trust me when i say... unfilling for a couple of weeks will make all the difference... yes it might delay your weight loss by two weeks... but it will save you months of discomfort
  18. I had that happen happen a couple of times. .. the trick was to completely unfill and stay like that for a couple of weeks then get refilled. It usually resolved it... im suprised they didn't do a complete unfill At this stage it is not a complete slip... but if you keep it tight in the condition it is in, you could develop one
  19. My final moment when i decided to do something was after i gained weight after being at goal for 6 years and having my band removed, hence gained weight. I was standing in front of a full length mirror... i looked at myself and my body and actually thought i was ugly... i realised at that moment that i no longer loved myself.... i was critical of every feature. I would look at my face and think i was no longer pretty I would look at my stomach and sigh in disgust I would decline catching up with friends because i did not want them to see what i had become I stopped going out and doing things i enjoyed out of fear of judgement I stopped doing my hair, nails and make up because i thought it was no use I didn't participate in life anymore because i felt i had no life in me left I hated that i had come so far only to go back to where i started I felt no one would love me I thought i would die alone as no one could love me. Omg i am actually in tears... But thank god i woke up... i did this because i love me... i am beautiful inside and out, i am a good person, i am intelligent, kind, honest, thoughtful, and have so many good qualities. Yes, i am unhappy about the outside, but the inside is good .. i just needed to do this because i did not love me anymore.... and no clothing tag size or number on the scale could fix that. Im sorry, i am just really emotional right now.... this is the first time i have ever said these things out loud...

    It makes me wonder if this has anything to do with the hormone dump associated with weight loss.. You know how pregnant women gets sensitive teeth due to hormone changes, i wonder if this is the case with weight loss hormone changes. Hmm might be something ill ask my surgeon about next time i go in

    Hi everyone!

    You can do it!! Just take each day as exactly that... one day.... Make a list of small goals that you would like to reach and reward yourself as you meet them. Eg. I made mini goals... like.. If i exercise for 30 mins each day i will treat myself to a movie. If i loose x amount by x date i will buy a new top If i don't eat bad food for x amount of time i will allow myself a small treat It really helps keep me motivated and gives me something to work towards and benefits me as well. Keep me updated on your progress... you've got this!!! You can do it!

    Hi everyone!

    Hmm your portion sizes sound normal. Are you drinking Water in the morning and prior to eating by 20 mins or so. I found that if i drink earlier in the morning before Breakfast. I would loosen the restriction a little so things don't get stuck... also having a small cup of water.. like a 1/4 cup around 20 mins before eating helps the food not get stuck as much. Try that a couple of times, i found that just a small amount helps lubricate things a little so stuck episodes are less frequent. Eating slider foods isn't the best thing for your weightloss... cause most slider foods aren't very nutritionally or Protein dense

    @@tvitale1128 In all the years i had the band dry meat never stayed down, so i wouldn't rely on that for getting an adjustment. I had probably 20 adjustments... fills and unfills... and dry meat was always an issue regardless of how tight or loose it was. If you are gaining weight then you are not in the green zone... i would say it is too loose... how is your restriction if you eat something that isn't a slider? What are your portion sizes like?
