I know that deficiency in Vitamin C, Iron, B12 and vitamin K can cause easy bruising. If you had good bloods 2 months ago... it is quite possible that you may have developed a deficiency.... all these (except Vitamin K) are Water soluble... so they don't stay in your body long.... a deficiency can occur in as little as 4 weeks. What Vitamins are you currently taking and at what dosage?

@@CHM ... i hope it improves for you. I went through a period of 8 months where i would have the first type of broken sleep... i would sleep a solid 4-5 hours then be wide awake and energetic... after consultation with my doctors.... they seemed to think my natural body rhythm was off... so they suggested buying an extremely bright light globe, putting the lamp close to where i was sitting from 5pm-8pm. (Light therapy) I did that for a week and it completely resolved it.. i was so exhausted so i completely understand how difficult it can be.... thankfully it hasn't occured since. But sending you lots of sheep to count and fluffy pillows so you get your much deserved rest ???? -

@@jintycb We are aussies... we are not MADE for the cold!! For a country that doesn't really get lower than 7 degrees (44F) we freeze our butts off when it gets below 20 (68F) lol I am wearing flannel pjs, socks, had the heater on, now the electric blanket in my bed.... Those in cooler climates must think we are crazy wusses hahaha Imagine what's going to happen when i lose my weight again and get the "coldies" from less insulation!!!!! -

Wow @@CHM that must be so draining for you... I'm sorry that you go through that. Have they tried to find a cause? Surely having it this long you have probably tried everything under the sun. -
As you can see... the difference between the 32, 36 & 40 are minimal...

I find it odd that the surgeon is even letting you decide! During surgery the bougie is only used as a guide, the surgeon cuts based on the curvature and condition of the stomach. In relation to size... the difference between sizes is very minimal.. i personally would not choose a surgery based on bougie size... but rather on what will work longterm for my current weight, eating habits and lifestyle.. and the realistic changes i can make.

How does the band feel like ? ?
NeedaBreak4Me replied to Samantha C's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Take it easy... you are still very early out... it will happen.... i didn't lose most of my weight on the band till around the 3 month mark.... and i got to goal by 6 months. If you can eat large portions, you may need another fill... try not to get large fills... smaller ones are better, sometimes thats all it takes. In the green zone i was able to have a cup of food and be comfortably satisfied, no choking or heaviness on the chest (unless it was dry meat) Relax... take it easy... stress will only stress your body which will not help with weightloss Just eat well... follow your instructions and stay ontop of your fills and try and stay in the green zone.... -

Marvelous, glorious Water!
NeedaBreak4Me replied to Kaze's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah you can... i was drinking Water normally at around week 3ish.... but its even easier now... it feels normal now... but if i down a whole bottle quickly... i get gurgling sounds so i avoid it if i can... so i just gulp and rest and repeat The waiting 30 mins is annoying though.... but i kind of have a schedule in my head for eating and drinking... that makes it easier. Eg when i finish eating i look at the time.... If i finish Breakfast at say 8am i will make a mental note to drink some water after 8.30am.. and then i plan when ill eat next. Eg. I plan to eat lunch at 11.30... i make a mental note that from 8.30am to 11.00 i can drink as much as i like. -

NeedaBreak4Me replied to Kaze's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never had the not gulping advice from my surgeon... except in the first couple of weeks. I gulp all the time now. . But early out it wasn't easy and could be painful... i think listening to your body is the best bet... if something hurts... stop.. Drinking is a good thing anyway, it flushes out crap from your body and keeps you hydrated. .. its especially good for your skin... having lots of Water helps a little with loose skin too... the more hydrated you are, the more your skin will retract. -
@@taracutch Sorry!! You are losing fat from your liver though! Which is the whole point of the pre op diet anyway.... Sorry... i really need to learn to keep my mouth shut sometimes lol

NeedaBreak4Me replied to Kaze's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Morning Kaze (well morning here anyway) Water is no issue for me... i drink lots... i drank about that yesterday. A key for me that seems to help me get all my watrt in... is i have brought 3 bottles.... 2 bottles are mandatory and i can not go to bed till i finish them both.. and the third is a bonus and i give myself brownie points if i finish it. I like that i have my water measured out for the day and if i am going out i just take it with me... Another way is to flavor your water... i personally use lemon and mint that makes it a little less bland and softens the water. There are so many water infusion recipes out there... and they are yummy too.. takes the bore out of water -
