Contact your MD. He//she may be able to prescribe something for the nausea and something to hold off dehydration. Feel better.

I feel like I am am always eating to much.....not enough.....I am about 7 weeks out and feel I should of lost more....while my body is changing it just seems I made a radical choice to lose weight only to not lose weight! I see people on here that have had surgery around the time I have and they have lost 50 or more....I lost like 23....and that is including the 16 I lost on pre op diet.....I feel everything I do is wrong.....
  3. The rain has gone and sun is out! Can't wait for my walk today!!

  7. My surgeon as well didn't recommend the band, as the results were not as good as the sleeve and more complications.....in and out of surgery etc.....once I seen the band and the fact of the sheer size I knew I was getting the sleeve....but made me even more convinced once my surgeon told me he did not recommend it.
  8. I have been complaining A LOT that the scale hasn't moved....this morning I am down 9 lbs.....THANK GOODNESS....happy girl today.

Are you trying to "shake things up"? I've often wondered if that works. Let us know, please.

I'm in the same boat. I was thinking of trying the same thing; or at least add back in a shake or two.

  11. Rain till Thursday!! Omg.....going on the 3 Rd week of rain with only 1 day of sunshine....

What made you get a tat?

I have 8 tatts.....and love them.....my first one was the name of my so, along with the blue fairy as I have always told him I wished for him and the blue fairy brought him to me as Gepetto had wished for Pinocchio to be a real boy.....that was his fave movie as a very young child. Then after I got one in memory of my brother who has passed as well as my grandmother....I also just have a few cause I like them and they mean something to me....my last one was about 2 years ago....I do have the urge to get another and I will but nothing to the point of it speaks to me.....I do not look at it as a way the government can ID me....it is more of a story of me......I find it also therapeutic in the way that sometime the pain of getting one helps you heal....my last one was on the inside of my calf and it was a doozy.....it was my worst one yet.....but it is beautiful. Your either a tat person or not.....

    Adult beverages after the sleeve?

I truly dislike the answer "talk to your team etc" like yes we know, but we are asking here for diff opinions and how other people react to having different experiences.....I was told never to have alcohol again....I actually drink causally like 3 times a year tops.....and while the first 6 months fine....when I want a cocktail I will have one.....
  15. This rain has to stop.....I need to walk!! And it is not just rain it is down pour for days...flooding in some areas....depressing

Haha go to the mall and walk.....small town nearest mall is 2 hours away...... Yes your right a few days of rain is ok...,but over a week now...

oh so sorry Myka. I walk everyday at work in the parking garage. It keeps me out of the sun and the rain and there is an incline. Of course in a small town that is probably not an option either. Find a friend with a tread mill or see if your town has a gym for $10 a month. Walking is so important in this process.

Wouldn't Quiona be better than potatoes? It is higher in protein?
  17. My mother knows, 2 of my best friends and my sons father....other than that I really don't feel it is anyone's business....I am not ashamed I got surgery that is just me.....and it is coming off slow enough that no one questioned it yet.
  18. Myka99

I find I can eat a good amount of food for what some people can eat.....I eat a lot of Quiona, chicken breast, eggs and cheese.....I average at least 5 glasses of water a day (which I am working on) I try to stay away from carbs as much as possible...I have had whole grain bread once or twice but no rice, potatoes or pasta....I stick to veggies and chicken.....I am counting calories and protein and I average from 600 to 850 cal a day and min 60 carbs......I eat enough I don't need to drink the protein shakes unless I don't have time to eat then I substitute....my surgeon is moving provinces and rescheduled my 6 week check up twice....so now I will never see him again....if I am doing something wrong I need to know....and I don't have a team to contact so that is not a response.....

Meaning I either feel like I am not eating enough and my body goes into starvation mode and hoards everything or I eat to much and that is why I am not losing....
  20. BOOM! Scale isn't movin but down another size of jeans....wasn't a hope in hell of fitting into these 2 weeks ago! Happy Happy

  21. Was so looking forward to having steak....now I feel like I am dying....

    1. Valentina

      Valentina

Beef is notoriously difficult to digest. Tiny bites, chewed to a pulp and cross your fingers. Don't give up on it if it's a favorite. Try again in a week or two. All in all, you're still in better shape than the cow! :) Prayers going up for you--cow's a lost cause.

    2. Myka99

      Myka99

It was a fave.....should of known I found it rich....some of it came back up all in all first vomit post op....I am sticking with chicken breast..

    3. Renkoss

      Renkoss

I feel for you. I had steak for the first time in 8 weeks and it tasted good, went down, but make me feel nauseous and unwell. I did not vomit, but it wasn't pleasant. I'll wait about a month and try again.

  22. Ok so my 6 week check up was suppose to be in the 31st and they changed it to June 7th (tomorrow) THEN they just called and rescheduled it to July 7th.....????? Isn't the 6 week check up important?

it's funny how different foods react to people - sorry you had problems - glad you are ok now - keep up the good work!!

  25. Well my surgery was 4 weeks and 4 days ago. Aparantly I ha e no idea what I am doing because I only lost 7 lbs since surgery....which I could of done with a regular stomach....and I would of had regular bowl movements....so frustrated.

Don't be discouraged! That will only lead to old habits. It does pick up eventually and you have just come out of a 3 week stall period plus likely gaining from fluids in the hospital. The smaller losses will add up!! Keep up with the plan and look back at this in a few months. You will see how far you have come!
