I had to loose my 5% weight for insurance so I've lost 20lbs. Eating more high Protein low fat foods and watching carbs and sugar. I also just joined jazzercise. I am 8 month in, and just waiting for insurance approval now.You may try the chair exercises. That may help, and ask your dr if they give the bans, so strength trauning. Mine gave me one and u can work with that sitting. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

So far there are lots of hoops. 6 months supervised diet, food journal, sleep study, EGD, echocardiogram, chest X Ray, psych evaluation, pulmonary function test, and EKG. I have MHS as my carrier. It has been interesting but I know it will be worth it in the end.Have you been approved yet? I have indiana hip as well and was turned day 1st go. Turned in 2 months of food journals, did pulmonary test, echo test, and some stool test, and now resubmitted tomorrow. I am almost 8 months into this and ready for an approval. Nervous tho because my pulmonary test was 62% bc I was sick. Nervous! !! Any more feedback would be great! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

I have done all my testing, even my sleep sludy, and everything came back great. Was all submitted into insurance and they came back and said that now I had to do a pulmonary function test I went to get this done and I scored a 62% on my final reading I was wondering if anybody else has scored such a low score and if so what came next they say that I could have asthma so they have put me on inhalers at this time but I had no trouble with my sleep study so the pulmonary function test is the only thing that I'm worried about everything is being submitted back to insurance and I'm waiting to hear what they are going to say now I am seven months into my pre op so I'm waiting for insurance to give me the go so I can schedule surgery. ][/img] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

Low pulmonary function test
BonnieGail replied to BonnieGail's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you for your reply I am have already had the chest X-rays and those came back clear I was just sick around January whenever they perform a pulmonary function test and they thought that I had pneumonia at the time so I believe that is why my pulmonary function test came back so bad the doctor is writing up a letter when she sent this in to let them know what was going on with me at the time and to let them know that I'm not having any breathing troubles now but insurance will not pay for me to redo my pulmonary function test so we were going to try to send in the bad score for now but I didn't know if maybe they will make me get a clearance from a pulmonologist at this point because the score was so low Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App -
