Not all insurance deny surgery due to weight gain. That's one thing I've learned during researching. UHC doesn't deny if you have weight gain. Luckily! But I don't drink soda. Haven't in over a year. From what I've read, a co-morbidity is a co-morbidities no matter how you put it. I'd look up insurance requirements and whatnot before gaining/faking 20 pounds. Some Won't allow any weight gain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm in school, and will be having my surgery in November. I just made sure that I have already emailed my professors. I've also made sure I took classes that are/will be slightly flexible for that reason. You may get lucky and have surgery during a break. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I literally go in, get weighed, she asks if I have any questions, and then allows me to leave Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App That's what I'm thinking they'll do at mine because my caseworker said it's pointless to do the 6 months especially if they don't require me to lose any weight but that is what my insurance company is requesting I do. Get questions answered, help with any eating issues or cravings, learn how to eat post-op. I did the same. But most the time, she would just tell me okay start Vitamins now.
