Anyone have 1199 ? Just wondering how they are with approvals Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Does anyone ever go back and do the pre surgical diet , just to jump start things ? I have been playing with the same 5 pounds for about 6 months now . I’m 16 months out and have lost 90 pounds . I have about another 15-20 pounds that I would like to lose.

I used 1199 . They paid 100% . No co pays at all even for the pre ops . Although my doctor tried to give me a secret bill I fought it and didn’t have to pay it . 1199 is excellent.

Same here . I am up 3 pounds . I’m stuck . I’ve lost 95 . I think it will help me get back on track

What the heck is a plateau ? In all of my research I have never come across this term . I am 6months out and have lost 86 pounds. I only need to lose another 20 -25. Last month I lost 6 pounds and this month 4 pounds ( of course I was disappointed). My surgeon explained that I am at a plateau and that inches will be coming off, not so much pounds while my body catches up to itself . Has anyone heard of this before? Or even experienced it ? Totally off topic but looking for advice from anywhere
bellabeans replied to ryan_86's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Bottom line is why ask real estate questions on a Bariatric site ?? When I read my forum i want to educate myself with Bariatric questions , not read real estate , there is a place for that . My sleeve is very successful partly because all of the information I have read on this Bariatric app. When I read my timeline I read everything that's how I learn . I do not enjoy reading real estate questions it's a waste of my time . It's not a attitude, it's an option . Shame on you for not redirecting the question to an appropriate forum [emoji57] -
Kinda off topic but I would like to bring a nice gift for the staff at my Bariatric office. They have been so helpful , above and beyond what I expected. I know I can't/ shouldn't bring them candy but I was thinking a nice fruit basket . Has anyone done this before, and how did you show your appreciation besides paying your bill ??

Me to please .. ddisney5@aol.com -
Can someone please help me . It's been a month and a half since the scale moved . I've lost 86 pounds since my surgery 6 months ago . Lately I feel like I just don't have the willpower. For 2 weeks I've been picking at stupid things like animal crackers , pretzels and today I ate 2 small peices of chocolate. Maybe I'm getting frustrated maybe not . I didn't gain any weight but haven't lost either . How do I get back on track . I have gotten very careless . Is this normal ? I'm not even hungry when I do this . I kind of feel like the old me is creepin back
-
I also seem to lose weight only one time a month . I go back and forth with the same 2 pounds all month and then all of a sudden down 5 . The last 2 months I only lost 5 pounds Each month . I don't mind as long as I'm losing I guess

I was sleeved 9/7 approved by Aetna ins and also have a secondary insurance that I am covered by 100% . Today I received a bill for $2500. My surgeons PA billed the insurance co 40,000 and it was denied, keep in mind the surgeon also billed the insurance company and was paid what Aetna pays with no responsibility from me . I never saw this dr the day of my surgery before , after or any time during my hospital stay . The bill says that the PA appealed the bill and it was denied , and they have dropped the charges to $2500 that I owe . I don't know how they decided to adjust the bill by $37500. I called the insurance co and they told me I could appeal it and that it was not paid because she is out of network. My surgery was prior approved by my insurance company so why would it be approved if the Pa was out of network . My surgeon is in network though. Sounds to me like the office is double dipping . I'm not sure how to handle this because my son is being sleeved within the month and has worked so hard to get all of his requirements in . I don't want to cause a scene in the office at least not until my sons procedure is done . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have the papers to appeal and will be sending them in. I can't see why they would not . They no longer have to pay for any diabetic medications or high blood pressure meds no more bi pap and I'm not getting a monthly MRI to see why my back hurts all the time . ( it was my weight lol ) fingers crossed !! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Would they even consider ? I feel like my surgeons office is being sneaky . They knew my insurance . If I would have known their was involvement from someone other than my surgeon I would have made sure they took my insurance . I didn't even see her that day or any other day I was in the hospital. I'm not even sure what she is billing for because she wasn't thee the day of my surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Which procedure did you have done ? Everyone is different and loses differently. I was sleeved on 8/31 . I've lost 73 pounds and feel amazing . You need to be the boss and kick ass . There were times the scale didn't move for weeks . Made me work a little harder . Follow your surgeons directions and be true to yourself !! Exercise like a bad ass and don't forget to get in all of your Proteins and liquids . Your here for a reason , you got this Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Stretching your sleeve
bellabeans replied to bellabeans's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you , very helpful Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I am always so worried that I will stretch my sleeve. I always stop eating when I feel that full feeling or for me sometimes I get a hiccup and I know I am done . But I'm always worried that I won't get that signal and overfill my sleeve. I'm 12 weeks post op and I've lost 68 pounds . Does our sleeve stretch that easily?
