rebelchelz replied to thatblondechick's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stats very similar but I am older, I'm 46yrs old. I was 35 bmi, 5'4". HW 215, SW 205 on 11.1.16, ,CW 147. I have a little loose skin but really nothing crazy. I am trying to tone up myself what I can. But was definitely worth it to me. I am much healthier. Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Exercise question (spin, walk, barre)
rebelchelz replied to dreamynow's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am almost 10 months out. Just make sure you sip sip sip during your exercising. I definitely can't drink it up like I use to but just keep it handy. I do aerobics, step box, weights, body pump, cardio, Zumba. Just make sure you keep the water with you & sip it instead of gulping. Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app -

You only need to share what you are comfortable with. I wasn't going to tell very many people but I was so excited I just ended up telling everyone. When I got funny looks or bad comments I just reminded them that this was my decision and I was asking for their opinion or advice but only letting them know to help give me support Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Finally!! Just heard from insurance co. that it is approved!! This is 3rd surgeon so it has been a process. Dr. office just called & we have scheduled pre-surgery apt for 10/17 & probably scheduling surgery for 11/8 or 11/9. Will know for sure after pre-surgery apt. I've been through the run around w/ 2nd surgeon. So glad I found this new surgeon & they seem to have everything organized and running their office like it should be. I'm so excited!!

Approval with low bmi and no comorbidities?
rebelchelz replied to TJ1257's topic in Insurance & Financing
I was approved back in April but that surgeon was out of network w/ insurance. So I changed surgeons to find one that was in my insurance network. So went to a different surgeon in-network in May. it took them forever to submit and I found out in August that it was declined because he didn't do the surgery in a Blue Distinction Center so I went to a new surgeon a couple of weeks ago. She only made me do one appointment w/ her nutritionist since I had done everything else & been through 2 other programs. I went to the appointment this past Monday. They just submitted to insurance this week. I verified w/ the insurance company that they received everything from the Dr on 9/28. Now just waiting for their approval....again....LOL. I'm sure it will be approved but I'm still so nervous & will feel less anxious when I know it has been done for sure. -
Approval with low bmi and no comorbidities?
rebelchelz replied to TJ1257's topic in Insurance & Financing
I did a sleep study and was told I do not have sleep apnea . Only thing I can do now is get my cholesterol checked I guess and pray it's high enough ... I looked online for a listed of Anthems less common comorbidities that are possibly covered. Arthritis, back pain, pulling of blood in the lower extremities are a few... I have all 3 of those. Just not sure that will be approved. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App I know it sounds crazy to wish high cholesterol but I know exactly how you feel. I was praying for sleep apnea before I was diagnosed. I know that they have to put a number on this for insurance purposes but it's so frustrating that we are trying to do something about this before it gets totally out of control and we have all the comorbidities. I wish you luck in your journey!!
