I had surgery two days after you, SW 229 - CW 182, almost identical stats. I don't feel like it's been slow, I'm thrilled with the loss.

You sound just like me pre op. Hopefully I'll be like you post op! I had surgery 10 weeks ago and losing steadily. Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy your posts. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -
The same thing happened to me. By 6 weeks I was completely back to myself. Hang in there, it gets better!

What I wish I had known...
fluffy22 replied to justhere4theshow's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Good post! However, there are a few things different for me... I am six weeks out and have been eating raw veggies with no issues since week 4. It's only a few bites because I eat it after my Protein but I love that I can have it. I've been drinking coffee since being cleared by my surgeon at week 2, also without issue. I also have eaten out a number of times and still love to go out to eat. I just order something healthy, eat a little bit and bring the rest home. I only told a few key people in my life and I am so glad I chose that route. You can't untell anyone. Every program seems to have their own set of rules. Follow them and you'll have success. Yes surgery is a big deal BUT not nearly the big deal I thought it would be. I too wasted a lot of time worrying.

What is this feeling in my stomach?
fluffy22 replied to Lovin2lose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey, I had my surgery on the 15th too and know just what you're talking about. Today I've been able to drink more comfortably and almost have my 64oz in. Thank goodness it gets better as I struggled with getting fluids in the first few days. Good luck to you! -
BINGO! I've actually cut way down on my time spent here for exactly this reason. I'm a lurker but had come to rely on the information I found here. Thank goodness I discovered another group where there is only love and support. It's a support page, not a belittle page. Love wins. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

You're kidding! Now that I think about it this sounds familiar, I'm in Pok as well. Not familiar with your doc, mine is in Westchester, surgery will be in Putnam Hospital. Where was yours?

Date is June 15! I'm also in NY, Hudson Valley. When is yours? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I agree with nyteacher125, it's great to see updates of how things are progressing for you so I can get a realistic idea of what to expect. Glad you are feeling better! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

fluffy22 replied to aprilnicole's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was terrified also, just had mine done a few weeks ago. The worst part was the waiting! Honestly it was no big deal at all, like a nice nap. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -
June 15th here! It doesn't seem real yet. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I'm worried I won't meet the set goal for preop diet

Upping Water is a great idea. My Dr friend tells me to drink half my body weight in ounces to assist in weight loss. It's a lot but it's working for me. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -
I'm freezing cold ever since surgery!
fluffy22 replied to Andrea Guadiana's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is what I'm afraid of, I'm always cold now and haven't even had surgery yet! -
Thank you! I will definitely listen to my surgeons advice.

I'm still pre op so can't answer your questions but I wonder what the reason is for not driving. I spend hours daily driving my kids around. I'm planning to get help the first few days after surgery but after that I'm going to have to jump back in my taxi. Lol of course I would never drive if I was taking any pain medications but other than that I don't know why so many don't drive. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Someone just gave me a container of Herbalife and a was shocked at the lack of nutrition and Protein. It also tasted rather yucky. I prefer Isopure as it is 0 carbs and not as sweet as most. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
