Is it possible this is a surgeon's requirement as opposed to the insurance requirement? My insurance specifically said these are our requirement, your surgeon may have other specific things they want....I think you well within your boundaries to demand a clear answer. Agree with @@KristenLe the dog would probably be more upset going to the kennel and he could wind up sick... I'm concerned about how my little guy will be when I get home too but I'd rather not have his regular routine upset...Dog have an amazing ability to sense what's up... My guy is a lapdog, whenever wherever I sit he's right on my lap, hoping putting a pillow on my lap will either deter him from sitting on my lap or will make his sitting on my lap more bearable... Do you have any doctor you have been working with who might be so kind to put something about your weight in writing? It's worth a shot... I have BCBS in NY but was worth with a doctor on weight loss prior to deciding to go for the surgery... It's very frustrating and there is no research to support the six months diet has any impact on your success with the surgery. The little voice in my head is screaming shady... My guess is they were billing sleeves as hernia and got caught... If their under investigation the doctors license maybe temporally suspended and maybe they are not allowed to take insurance... 5 days of not drinking will result in severe dehydration... Best plan is for you to go to the ER or a walk in place ASAP... You can't sit by watching medical issues get worse, you need to take action... Toss the regret away because there is no changing having the surgery but you do need to have whatever is going on addressed. I think the range would vary based on starting weight... Some one 400lb is going to have more body fat than someone 200lbs so the percent they would go down would be different... You probably can find a body fat calculator online to determine what percent would be ideal for you based on your height and weight. I had a D and C but haven't had the sleeve yet.... I don't recall having to stop Vitamins but again every doctor does things different... Possibly the vitamins do thin the blood... The D and C was no big deal... Just be aware you could get your period soon after... I got a scare because when they called a few days later to ask how I was the doing, the woman on the phone said you won't get your period for 4-6 weeks... Mine started about two days later I freaked out... When I went to the doctor for my follow up he was like of that always happens... Other than that is was no big deal.
