I think we're far more critical of our body than most men could ever be... If a man is taking you on a date he's seen what you look like... When it's time to get busy, I never came across a man who said oh you have a stretch mark let's just forget it lol... Just to add you can always do things to make yourself feel better about your body, get a wax, buy some matching bra and panties, get some new makeup etc...... Men get into what turns them on... Men please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on any of this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Could just be me but don't see too many "perfect" bodies around... Even people we think have the "perfect" body still see the flaws in themselves... Maybe your head just needs time to catch up with your body, your still seeing the old you but the men are dating the new you... I often thing fat has done more to screw up my head than it could ever do to my body... Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

2 MONTHS OUT HARDLY NO WEIGHT LOSS[emoji26]
Read2016 replied to Christina_rny.'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm two months you lost almost 30lbs, I would not call that no weight loss. Yes I can see why your saying what your saying, but I think you need to Celebrate your success and keep going... Maybe tweak your excercise etc... Post op people will probably have better advice... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Read2016 replied to lasmith0802's topic in Insurance & Financing
Lucky you!!! That will be my first appointment but I'm crossing my fingers my documentation from the endocrinologist will cover the six month of non surgical weight management. If so, sleeve here I come!!! It has taken a bit to find a surgeon I like, the first two just weren't my cup of tea. From meeting this one at the seminar I just loved his attitude and understanding of the struggle of obese people Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Agreed, how can they reroute your intestines and than re route them again? Doesn't seem they would elect to do this.... Forgive me in advance but there are several post on here with information that seems medically impossible... Not sure if these are some people who misunderstood what they were having done or post to discourage others but it's odd. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

My better judgement is saying I should say no more responding to this thread but it's my bad judgement that won lol. @@PissiChrissi I feel you stated your opinion as facts, I didn't find it necessary for you to add comments " like hand holding and lie to you" Personally I feel your tone hindered your message. We're all on here fighting the disease of obesity,we all got here different ways and we all are going to use different methods to get results... At the end of the day as long as what a person is doing yields their desired results, the debate is over. Becky clearly seems to have a rough time with the bedside manner of her surgeon, he's setting goals that are impossible for her to imagine meeting is she suppose to give up before she starts? No. Is she smart to look beyond his "silly" advice and seek out excercise she can do yes, yes!!! If she starts with Water exercise does that mean she doesn't have an option to do anything else, no. She might even come back here to seek more support for other things she could do. I can only speak for me but I've come to this app to learn about WLS and hopefully interact with others who understand all the hardships being obese brings. Good luck to all us as we try to shed the pounds, may we all be successful???? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Can you cite some research to back up what you say? Additionally I was not aware morbidly obese people has special personal trainers, what makes them different from a regular personal trainer? Any good trainer should be able to work with people of any size. I think people are getting annoyed with your statements because what your saying isn't supported with proof. I think the idea here is any movement is good movement and its critical people do exercises that don't cause Injury and they are comfortable with. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Is It Necessary To Have Help At Home?

Love all inclusive in Mexico... I have found that being at the pool and the beach you don't really think about eating... Last resort I went to didn't allow eating at the pool nor were their any buffets, all meals were served by waiter serve. You sound like you have a great support system, go and enjoy!!! Mexico is wonderful and remember a small tip goes a long way!!! Be sure to get to visit the spa at the resort too Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
