I had looked into gastric sleeve 4 years ago but my BMI was only a 35 with no other medical conditions. So after having another baby 2 years ago and maintains a decent it slowly crept back. In December 2015 I got into the 190's again. I decided to go to a seminar and book an appointment. I am 4"11 1/2 and weight 198 at my appointment the dr said I was below 40 BMI and re weighted me and my height went down to 4"10. Lol. So needless to say I started the journey. I went through the program and met wit nutritionist, social worker, and a group workshop. My surgery was approved the end of Febuary and I had surgery on 3/16. I spent 2 nights in the hospital which is what is the normal. I was not put on a pre surgery diet due to being on the border line of 40 Bmi. Surgery went well but the gas pain was horrible until I was later to walk the first day. My blood pressure was really low after surgery which scared me but it normalized later that day. Day of surgery I weighed 208 and 17 days out 4/2/16 I'm 199. So far so good. I seen my nutritionist this past week and was told to start stage 4 diet soft solids.
