Hey guys, my surgery was April 12th and felt compelled to tell you all... it slowly gets better and stop obsessing over the scale. It WILL come off and when it does it happens FAST. Concentrate on getting in your nutrition so you feel human. Its tough and for the first month I almost regretted the decision to have surgery but now Im 65lbs lighter and am finally getting a bit of energy back. Good luck to you all! Im definitely not getting my Protein but am always trying lol I can't eat jerky yet because it upsets my tummy. A lot of lunch meat, cottage cheese, and yogurt. Im so over it though lol Sent from my LG-LS995 using the BariatricPal App

I woke up today in better spirits. Still nauseous, still have pain, and still cant get all my protien/fluids in BUT I got up, took a shower, put make up on and am determined to start living my life again. I am struggling. Yesterday I only got down 30oz Water with 15g of Protein added. Not doing well today either. Walking has been helping with the pain but today I'm super nauseous and having more pain. My surgery was at 1130 yesterday and Im home now with fairly little pain. I did just take a pain pill to completely take the edge so I can finally sleep! I was up all night doing laps in the hospital because of gas pain. Gas HURTS. I've only had water today. 15ml every 15 minutes but each swallow causes so much gas. So I'm day 3 on my 14 day liquid diet my dr ordered. I'm struggling a bit but so far so good. No cheating yet lol Anyone else have a surgery date soon? What did your DR request before surgery? I am scheduled for surgery at 11:20am and am supposed to arrive around 9:20... I usually start my shift at 5am but I think I will come in around 4am and leave around 9:15 or so. I really just want to tie up some stuff around the office before I am off for a couple weeks. Hoping to be back in a week but I am planning for the worst case scenario of being off longer. Also, I work at the hospital so... It'll take me like 2 minutes to walk to surgery lol

I am day 6 of my 14 day liquid diet and am taking it one day at a time lol I packed my schedule at work so I stay busy and it does help a lot. I find that I struggle more while at home so I am working every day until surgery (even the morning of my surgery lol)
