    Victorious Valentines - Feb. 08 - MASTER THREAD!

    Well hello to all of you that started 2 + yrs ago .. I suppose I just got discouraged and stuckwith my 40 lb loss cause it didnt move from there... I want to share with any of you that are struggling ,,, I have recently found "The Dukan Diet "High protien low carb ... it is a great plan anfd Iv been following it for month ,,, down about 20 lbs as of today,,, I do believe this along with the band may just be the trick,,, Hope to hear from some of you and hope you check out the diet ,,,,,, Iv slipped in here just to read only a few times recently but hope you are all well .....     congrats Tapshoes congrats to you !! RSG..stop being so hard on yourself,,, you are way less now and you are still enjoying life !! Just think if you hadnt gotten banded! you are so supportive of everyone here its time for us to say you go girl its your time now!!!! hang in there and smile for you !!!!!!!

    Monday Morning Coffee

    Morning to you RSG and Ezma .. Im joining you with coffee. RSG have you tried coffeemate sugar free? its really good, I also doctor my coffee. It is 15 calories per tbs I use 2 and a 1/2 pkt of sweetner.. I love it ,, if you are a coffee drinker its like a treat, I only wish I could drink it at night but 2 pm is the latest for me ,,,,,

    Accountability

    Hi to all of you , I think it would be great to have all of us Valentines post. It would keep us in touch and keep us accountable. I have been at a "plateau"for 2 months and have gotten a fill Im at 8 ccs. I have restriction in the am but it loosens as the day progresses,, Im a bit worried about getting another fill cause I dont want to get so tight that I have any problems (Im self pay) so .... I think if someone doesnt want to put a number in thats ok, just put a post on how you are doing for the week ,, It would keep us all in touch.....:biggrin:

    ohhhh RSG thanks for saying 40 lbs matter .. its so easy to get discouraged when the loss is slow but to hear someone else say... what we think and then to see your photos it shows so well on you .. Keep posting you are inspirational..and such a cutie .....
  8. Hi Ya Gibson , havnt seen your posting for a bit and I hate to hear the crap you are going thru to get a stinkin fill ... I am still doing sloooow but losing a bit ,,, I am at 7.5 in a 10cc band ... and think I do have enough restiction for now,,, Have you contacted a fill center??? they would definitly fill you .. My fill center lets you come back in a few days if the fill wasnt enough... and they dont try to talk you out of fills.....hang in there when you get this resolved you will really lose quickly.....   9. Wow Im so proud of all of you You are all just doing fantastic! My band date was 2-22-08 and as of this am I am 202 down from 232 so Im at 30 in 4 mo I have 7.5ccs in a 10cc band (Im telling myself .."already" instead of only..... I am not actually following a "diet" and havnt been excersizing. Im going to try to lose 2 lbs this week so I too can be at a mini goal!!!!

    Evil Evil Shrimp

    Banded in Feb 08 and feel that I have good restriction at 7.5 in a 10cc band. yet not too tight, I havnt had shrimp yet. eek. However have had issues with both pork and steak. I am not really a meat eater so I dont have too many issues. However I definitely have too keep check on myself for chewing and eating too fast or else,,,, I find that if it seems a bit dry it will cause me some problems.. so chew chew chew..
  11. I also used Dr.Jose Rodriquez and went thru Belight(Jessica) I was banded 2-22-08 and was very happy with everything. I felt that the care was good and I have had no problems ,,,, My Fill center knew of him and Belight and actually told me not to worry they have many people who have used them with no problems at all ......

    Fill Advice Needed

    Hi so sorry to hear that happened to you , I have only gotten 3 fills but understand a teeny bit, I go to a wonderful fill center . The first time I got a fill it did take her 3 times to find the port (w/o fluro)and however the third poke worked(T/G) in fact she asked me if I wanted to wait till the following week and use fluro or try once more...it was my choice. The next time it was the first try,, I personally hate needles..and think I would let your doc know you are uncomfortable. Your reasons sound valid to me ,,,
  13. hey there Gibson.. I am curious what you have been eating and if you are excersizing?? Im having a frustrated start today as my scale hasnt moved in a week and Im stilll sitting at209.... (232 @surg) as I have said before I really am not following a "diet " however watchingwhat goes in and not eating high caloric foods at all ,,, definitly small portions yet if I eat firm protiens I sometimes have to take a break in between to let it go down ,, I think i have enough restriction for now (7.5ccs in a 10cc band) cause I still get things sort of stuck but am working on chewing and slowing down,, I dont want to get another fill and have stuck issues by being too tight. so Im dealing with the slow loss but as I said not liking it...
  14. Hi There Queen,,, I just wanted to comment on chewing issues I think I am having the same issues (wonderng if its not pretty common for us) I know that there are times I eat too fast also. Im thinking that not getting more restriction is ok so #1 we wont have yaking and pb episodes as often which can cause long term issues(slippage etc.) and #2 hopefully learn to chew and slow down. then as we lose more we can get adjusted. yes it may be a slower way to lose but better for our bodies and mind.
