    Curvy girl clothing issues...HELP!

Lee brand has a comfort band strip inside. I have always been large thighs smaller waist. So these are great to help with the gap in the back. I get mine at Kohls, and have even found some at Goodwill Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Birth control pills

I just found out today; BC can increase your chance of blood clots. BC increases blood thickness. That is why we are asked to go off it. I was told if I can't then I would have to do blood thinner shots before and after. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  5. SO EXCITED! I just got my surgery date today, April 25th! It seems like is has been forever; but only 4 months. Now it is just weeks away. I am having my surgery in Ft. Wayne IN. I am on a 1200 cal diet now, no liquid diet for me. I have seen there are a couple on here for the same day, so glad to have a couple buddies along the journey. Birth control pills

I too had to stop 4 weeks before and was told I could resume 2 weeks after. Never knew why & personally REALLY hated having to stop them. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  7. Yoga and walking is what I would recommend to start with; both low stress type things. After that it would be really easy to add in some basic weights after that. I love the Nike app; it is free and has some great workouts that you can download. I also love the Giam Yoga Studio app. They have routines by level. I started with the beginners strength. You can do 15 or 30 minutes or more. I really love both of them. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  8. I am not a yogurt fan at all and have tried the Greek. You do need to try different brands, they taste a different. I added plain fruit to it; blueberry is my favorite. Any berry really. That is the only way I can stand it. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Can't decide...

I am going to have the sleeve. My mom and sister both had the bypass. My mom 18 years ago and did great. She does have the carb dumbing/diarrhea. She also has a ton of gas and burping. Also she takes a ton of Vitamins through out the day. I personally think she has some issues with bone density as she has fallen and broken her wrist several times now. She also doesn't exercise or lift weights. That being said, I am going to have the sleeve because I didn't the deficiency aspect of bypass. I also didn't want to deal with bathroom issues the rest of my life. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Joint pain/arthritis as comorbidity?

I have BC BS and the did thankfully list the acceptable co-morbidities. One was degenerative joint disease; which I had documented in an X-ray for the back. My PCP said arthritis of any kind was really DJD. I too am under 40 BMI and don't have traditional high BP, cholesterol or diabetes. So the DJD was a huge deal for me. I also have fibromyalgia so I am hoping for less pain after my surgery. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  12. I am really excited to get back into my own clothes! I have totes and totes of stuff that I used to be able to fit into. I love skirts and have a large collection waiting for me. (I'm cheap (aka frugal) and hate to get rid of stuff that some day I was going to fit into again. Store wise, love Goodwill... And thanks to all of you here I have some new ones to check out. I want one really good pair of expensive jeans that I look AMAZING in. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  13. I know for mine; I am at a 36.6 BMI and am approved with degenerative joint disease as my co-morbidity. I can't fall below the 35 even during pre-op diet. So I have to watch this as my program calls for a 4 week pre liquid diet. I looked into this a lot and know that on the day of surgery it has to be over the 35 BMI for insurance to cover it. 14. I have to do 4 weeks of class after a day long intake. Then several classes after surgery. Thankfully all of the classes are part of the package and aren't additional charges. I'm sure I'm paying for it somehow My classes are in Ft. Wayne IN Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  15. I am hoping for April ! My first appointment is Tuesday; and will do 4 weeks of classes. I am in Fort Wayne IN. Where is everyone else having their surgery? I think I have to do 4 weeks of the Optifast drinks before surgery. Anyone else? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
