Dumping Syndrome
geo_jarvis replied to Autumn Riley Arnold's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 7 weeks out and haven't had the Dumping...yet. Maybe never will. Not everyone has it, so you may one of the lucky! Just follow what your doctor tells you to do! Don't eat sweets before Protein etc. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Thanks I am only weighing once a week! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Ok- please no negative comments!! Saying that, I am in week 3 and I have gained a little weight. I know we shouldn't watch the numbers on the scale, but I didn't think I would gain. I am weighing twice per week. I am in mashed Protein and yogurt, averaging about 500 calories, 30 carbs and 60 protein with 64 oz of Water. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I am in my 4th week preop and sorry to say I still have so much left side pain. Some get over it quickly, not the case with me. Hope yours goes away soon! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks for the update! I am still at a stall. Saw my PA yesterday because of a ER visit and she said it was normal. I guess I will just take it day by day. Glad to hear it has passed for you @! Hopefully it will for me too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am like you, I am in my 4 week postop and have only lost 26 total (13 was preop) and the scale hasn't moved in two weeks. I am eating and drinking like I should but the only exercise I can get is the walking. I am not healing as quickly as others and still have a lot of pain. Just walking at the point. My left side is so sore I couldn't imagine exercising at the point. I am only eating twice a day. The rest of the time I am drinking some kind of Protein. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hungry all the time!
geo_jarvis replied to Chioni.RNY's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you drinking with your meals? If so, you could wash your food down leaving your pouch empty. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I am 7 days post op and feel very emotional. I actually cried this morning. I have been laying in bed thinking about how my body has been rearranged inside. What will happen when I am older? What if I don't remember to take all those Vitamins. My anxiety is so high right now. Anyone else experience this? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Feeling alone on this journey
geo_jarvis replied to bypassdoll's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am experiencing the same feelings. Doubt and I am scared. The only food I have tried is chicken salad, because I am afraid of dumping and more pain. I know time will take care of this we just have to keep reaching out to others, this this App. My surgery was 3/24 so we are close. Message me anytime Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I felt the same way! But this is a great place to find understanding. Today is day 8 for me and I have had a better day. Hang in there!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
