BriLynGan started following Surgery was Approved! April 26th. Any one else have a date of the 26th?!, This is getting ridiculous, Move, move, damn stall! and and 5 others
-
I'm almost 7 months post-op and I havent lost any weight since September. I exercise and stay on my surgeon's plan 99% of the time. I guess my clothes are fitting differently, but I never took any measurements. I'm down 114 overall and 70 since surgery, so I hope this isn't it. I have at least 60 more lbs to lose. Other than "embracing" it, how do I break this stupid stall?

Great post! I stalled for 2 weeks 2 weeks post-op. I came to find that was common, but still it was frustrating. I'm noticing so many little NSVs here and there that even though the scale isn't always moving (thankfully right now, it is), I'm still making progress.

I had a hard time drinking the Atkins water. I think it has too much of a protein aftertaste Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

I met with my nutritionist this morning. She gave me a packet with some conflicting information from the original packet. She said basically anything with that "greek yogurt texture" should be good. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

My surgeon gave me a sample pureed menu that included things like tuna salad so I'm definitely confused on what I can and can't eat. I do have a follow up with them tomorrow (1 week post-op). One of my friends who went through the same program I did said she lived off of mashed potatoes and hummus during her pureed phase.

When will I stop regretting this surgery?
BriLynGan replied to LadyJustice007's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 days out and today was the first day I didn't regret getting the surgery. Yesterday, I cried most of the day. I wanted to give up and there is no physical way for me to give up at this point. I'm hoping as I progress onto purees, soft foods, and ultimately unrestricted textures, I will regret the surgery less and less. I definitely was NOT prepared for what to expect post-op from the gas pain to the sensitivity to plain Water. I hope it gets better. -
I'm sorry you have to go through it often. Something didnt seem right to me and I even told my patient rep I'd happily accept a bill for the co-insurance rather than have to rearrange the time off work, etc. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

I will call them in the morning. I've been a ball of nerves since I got that phone call. I have it IN WRITING that I am approved for surgery. I dont see how they can come back and say it could be jeopardized. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

Surgery: April 26 Primary insurance approved within a week so I think I'm in the clear. Nope. I get a phone call Monday morning that she has to submit to my secondary insurance. She said it might cancel my surgery. Now, please someone ease my mind, I have the same company (Capital BCBS) for my primary and secondary. I have a letter from my primary saying my surgery is medically necessary. That, to me, says I will be approved by the secondary as well, right? I have less than 2 weeks until surgery and I am stressing. This is far too late in the game to be worrying about this. Should I be worried? What should I do?

I'm 16 days away from surgery. I have 6 days until I start my liquid diet and I'm currently experiencing every doubt you can experience. I know this surgery is going to change my life and give me opportunities I wouldn't have at my current size. I know everything is going to be 100% worth it and I believe I'm going to succeed. I lost 20 lbs in 3 months for the pre-op diet, got approved on my first try, and everything has been falling into place. How did you all deal with the pre-surgery nerves and how did you get that little voice in your head to shut up?

I was a little discouraged that surgery is the last week of April as opposed to the middle of the month, but looking back, the whole process flew by. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App -

My patient rep sent my file over to Capital Blue Insurance (Pennsylvania) last Wednesday. I called the number on the back of my card and they say they don't have anything for my preauthorization. I'm getting worried. My surgery isnt until April 26th, but I don't want to postpone it any longer. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this? Should I lay low and wait for someone to contact me?
