This might be a fun little 5 minute test for y'all.

I am also ENFP. I love these tests, so accurate. I won't copy it again, just quote Lisa's post. Also, the language has changed a little. I am sure that ENFPs were called Champions in the past. -
No, I did not have to crush it post op. They are very small and slippery tablets, so I had no issues with it post op. Took it with bit of Water. Yes, this med is weight sensitive. We deal with kilos here, so my Endo said that to calculate the amount, usually it is 1mcg per each kg. Since I keep losing weight, the dose needs to be reduced for me, as I get bad side-effects, and feel I have Graves Disease and being hyper all over again. So, this is my second reduction. I started on 100mcg daily, 3 months later I was skipping one dose each Sunday morning. And in the past few weeks I have been feeling progressively worse, so my dose got lowered again. I actually got so desperate with not sleeping, that I took my old anti-thyroid med, Carbimazole for 3 days, and I finally slept. @@kmorri yes, definitely by losing weight, the body mass reduces, and so the original dose becomes too strong, and needs to be adjusted and regularly monitored, until reach and maintain goal weight.

Brisbane September 2016 Sleevers
OzRoo replied to Feekenstein's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
All the best for next week. Hope all goes well Always happy to share my experiences and any help. Best wishes to you! -
Hi everyone and G'day ! I used to live in Sydney, Bondi Beach, moved to Queensland few years ago, and I now live on the Gold Coast. I was sleeved 8th March 2016, and lost 29kg in 6 months. @@Ebony Rose It is normal to have fears and anxieties pre-op. I had many other surgeries in the past, and they never worried me. The sleeve surgery, I was almost terrified. Very excited at first when I was approved, and then a nervous wreck a week before ..... And then I went to the hospital. I was given nice relaxing drugs, and next thing I was being wheeled into my room. Everything went well, and I didn't feel too bad. The first 2 weeks I found the toughest in my recovery, and then it was progressively getting easier and better. This is a great forum, loads of wisdom and experience here. All the best with your upcoming surgery.

OK, so I saw my Endo today. She did not recognise me! LOL Last time I saw her was 3 months ago, and I have lost lot of weight since. She noticed my shakes, saw I had higher blood pressure and racing pulse again, and I told her how I can't fall asleep and my sweats are back, and those awful headaches. My blood test results showed Hyper-thyroid again, as I thought. So, I am to stop my 100mcg Thyroxine(Synthroid) for a week. Yay! Then, a week later take 50mcg of Thyroxine daily, so my dose has halved. I hope this will make me feel better. I also have to go back on daily Beta Blockers again, to slow down my heart and lower my blood pressure. I have to keep having 6 weekly blood tests, and see how I go. I still have more weight to lose, so need to be monitored closely. I am looking forward to sleeping again.

The physical hunger comes back once the post op swelling starts going down. For me it was hunger, but I could only eat very little. As Inner Surfer Girl said, Proteins and fluids are essential in recovery. I still add Protein powder to my morning yoghurt, and at 6 months post op I have noticed an increase in my appetite. Still stick to the basics and measure my portions, and drink loads of Water, as I can now guzzle it. My stomach has healed, so I feel hunger more these days. Just sticking to the protein and fluids rule.
