    Question on daily fat goals

@@Leather'nLace On MFP, go to Home, then Goals. My NUT gave me suggestion how to fill out the percentages. So, for me, daily calories is 800 Fat 25%, which is 22g Protein 40% which is 80g Carbs 35% which is 70g I never did anything with the Micronutrients box, I checked now, mine are at 0 also (Poly, Mono and Trans fats), but I never get any reds - negatives. So, can't help you. There is a Help button and Community button, perhaps you can find the answers there.
  2. @@Christy5913 Thank you! I actually just had a cut, my hair was longer still. Yes, the weight loss is great. I felt such a frump, and I forgot what I looked like, until I found few more pre-op photos. I am still not at goal, but I hope that by Christmas I will be there. Christy, you look phenomenal, and beautiful. You have such beautiful face and hair, and you have done an amazing great job with your weight-loss! You are an inspiration! So, we can inspire and motivate each other

    When did you start purée?

Purees from day 15 for me. I had 2 weeks on liquids post op, then 2 weeks runny purees, then 2 weeks soft/mushy, then gradual progression onto solids. I was adding stock and yoghurt or sauce to my savoury purees. They had to roll off the spoon easily. To Breakfast purees I was adding runny yoghurt and soft fruit like bit of banana or papaya. I was stewing pears at that stage. Plus I was adding Protein powder to all purees, had an unflavoured high Protein Powder. Still use it in the mornings with my regular yoghurt and grated 1/4 apple, these days.
  4. @@KristenLe Congratulations! Yes, finally although it is only a month from now. I had to wait 9 months because of my hyper thyroid ....... now that was disappointing. Good luck with the pre op diet. The swallow test gave me massive runs afterwards .... And with blood thinners, I had to inject myself both pre-op and then for a week post-op. Anyway, I am looking forward to your journey and the New You! All the best!

  8. Thank you Christy! Your hair and face, and body look beautiful too! Awesome transformation, Woohoo !!!
  9. @@Christy5913 And you too, look so young. The weight gain made me look like my grandmother. The weight loss takes 15-20 years off our faces!
  10. Found a couple more Befores. Couldn't stand having photos taken, and then looking at them ..... Before: After 6 months post sleeve:
  11. OK, I found couple more Before pics. Forgot I had them, as I couldn't stand looking at them. So here we go, I decided to be brave ..... Before: After 6 months post sleeve:

    Before and After!

@@leonelbreton You rock, together with your jeans! Awesome stuff, and well done!!!
  16. @@doingitmyway Thank you! Yes, you have done great! The 8-10 Ibs per month loss is a good loss. I was told the same. With regular and steady loss (not super fast) I have healthy hair (no hair loss) and the only loose skin I have is in my upper arms. So, count your blessings. At 3 months post op I saw my face was changing and I could cross my legs, and the weight loss was noticeable. Now, at 6 months post op, the change is even bigger and better. You will get there. It takes time, but it happens. So, be happy to steadily plod along. All the best!
  17. I find it hard to take a full body selfie. Here is one below, the toilet is stealing the show ..... LOL May need to ask someone to take a full body shot for me. And another face shot. My eyes are back!

    The cure for sore butt

Good luck with that. Have you tried dough-nut style cushions or pregnancy cushions, they protect your coccyx. I used them at seminars if they were long and chairs were uncomfortable, and this was in my pre-weight gain days. They worked for me.
  19. @@MissB1982 I know you said you were not on any medication, however the weight loss could have made you more hyper thyroid. So, hope you will get an answer soon, and treatment for your symptoms. Good luck!
  20. @@MissB1982 Glad you are seeing your Endo. I have Graves Disease (Hyper thyroid). It is genetic, but I was diagnosed with it pre Sleeve, as part of the tests pre op. I've walked around with it for decades ..... This put my surgery back for 9 months to get my thyroid stabilised. I tried anti-thyroid drugs but this was taking too long, so I was on Beta Blockers and had RAI done last year (radioactive iodine) to destroy my thyroid. 4 months later I went hypo, and was put on Thyroxine (Synthroid) 100mcg. After my sleeve early March 2016 I started noticing that I wasn't sleeping well again, and my bad headaches came back. In May my Thyroxine dose was reduced. I was OK for a while, but with continuous weight loss, the Hyper thyroid symptoms came back: bad insomnia, awful headaches, high blood pressure and racing pulse, sweats. My TSH was back to less than 0.01 again! I saw my Endo last week, and she reduced my Thyroxine to 50 mcg (half dose). She told me to have a week off Thyroxine, to stop it completely, and re-start it at 50 mcg this coming Friday. I also had to go back on Beta Blockers to lower down heart rate and blood pressure. She confirmed that with weight-loss, this affects the med dose. It is very weight sensitive. So far I am starting to sleep better, and my vitals have improved, rare headaches now and still bit hot at times. @@MissB1982 I hope you get your answers from your Endo. You sound quite Hyper thyroid to me. It can put a strain on the heart, and the whole condition is very unpleasant. There are anti-thyroid meds, such as Carbimazole, plus Beta Blockers to slower the heart rate, and there is RAI: Radioactive Iodine Tx. Good luck, and let us know how you went.

    Hunger

@@judy vsg What is your Protein intake? Are you eating enough Proteins? At that time, post op I was hungry too, and had to eat regularly every 3 hrs, if I went over 3-4 hrs, I was practically starving. So I had to have Breakfast, then later a snack (protein), then lunch, then snack (protein), then dinner and another snack for supper. Later on my hunger went away, alas at 6 months, it is coming back, so I need very regular meals again. I was and still am measuring my portions, and tracking my proteins on MFP. And of course maintaining fluids. Good luck!
  23. Wow and Wow !!! What an amazing change, you look a different person. Awesome work. Congratulations!
  24. @@sha_sha_Lucas I am glad that different med is working for you! It is such a relief, isn't it? Now, 6 months post op I am able to wean myself of Nexium now. Only take it every 4-5 days, and I am fine. As to the choc muffin, well I fall of the wagon at times with ice-cream or frozen yoghurt. At least it only happens once a month or so, instead of daily in the past. Providing we get back to the healthy food ASAP, the weight loss can stall for a while after indulging, but then it starts to fall off again.
  25. @@Katieisin Hi and welcome! You're only 3 weeks post op! Stomach takes 6 months to heal. Welcome to your first stall, the 3rd week stall. You'll get through it. There will be other stalls, then more weight loss. It is part and parcel of recovery. Hope you get a script for acid reflux. Mine was really bad, and nothing else helped me except Nexium. Now, 6 months post op acid is gone. Also, I just had another stall that lasted over 3 weeks, but is shifting now. Below is a link to another forum here on Stalls. Great reading! http://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/1102-dont-sweat-the-stall-stuff/ Good luck!
