EA Sports Active Personal Trainer for the Wii
Blaze21 replied to Blaze21's topic in Fitness & Exercise
The wii is cool. A lot of people like the dance dance revolution game, and my fitness coach. I don't have a lot of games for the wii so maybe others can recommend something. Also, the wii comes with wii sports, which has tennis, bowling, boxing and other games. -
I have a ProForm XP 160 elliptical. It's from the same company that owns Nordictrack. It's very sturdy. Holds up to 275 lbs. It counts calories burned, carbs burned, distance, etc. It has quite a few different workout programs and built in fan. There's more though. I can't remember everything off hand. I paid 700 for it, but that was about 3 years ago. An elliptical similar to this should run around 300-400. Proform.com usually runs specials each month, with free shipping as well.

EA Sports Active Personal Trainer for the Wii

I agree with Bobbie515, the stretchy band is a little weak. I ordered a heavier resistance band to use with it. -
I had to do 3 months of nutrition and exercise classes for my insurance. Honestly, I wish I had more time pre-band, to learn how to adjust to band life. The time does fly by pretty fast especially with the other appointments you have.(sleep study, etc.)

High Protein Yogurt - Chobani
Blaze21 replied to Jacks2009's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also eat chobani. I buy them at the BJs wholesale club for about $1 each(12 pack). It's a variety pack of blueberry, strawberry and peach. After my post op diet I was no longer a fan of yogurt, but I've recently rediscovered my taste for it. -
The carnation instant breakfast sugar free ready-to-drink bottles actually taste better than the powder you mix with milk. They are also a little more expensive. I pay around $5.75 for a 4 pack.

When can I lift stuff again and what exercise 3 days post op
Blaze21 replied to planet65's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was given a lifting limit of 10 lbs for 1 week. I wasn't allowed to do more than walking for about 6 weeks. Definitely no ab exercises for quite a while. I waited about 6 months for ab exercises, but that was my personal decision. -
I found out last month, that I have one. It's the 1st time I'm seeing it ever.

I didn't have a full length mirror until recently, so I couldn't really see my body. Plus I continued to wear the same clothes. I did notice a difference in my face around 40 lbs lost.

The leg strap comes with an extension, so you should have no problem fitting your leg into it. -
I take 2 children's chewables per day. I buy the BJ's store brand of Flintstones complete. I did try the centrum chewable but I couldn't stand the taste.

Congratulations! You will be in onederland soon enough.

I told my mom, younger sister, 1 friend and 1 "friend". It's a very personal decision as to whom you wish to share this experience with. Good luck to you on your journey.

It does cardio and strength training exercises. It comes with a leg strap and resistance band for some of the exercises. -
Way to go!

I'm glad everything went well.

My surgeon put me on the Optifast liquid diet for 1 week prior to surgery. It comes in a powder and pre-mixed drink. I was able to purchase this directly from my surgeon's office. I lost about 6-7 lbs.

This is by far one of the best resources for the band online. I don't know what I would do without LBT.

Congratulations!

Blaze21 replied to lotzasunshine's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm officially down 74 lbs. It's not as much as I would have liked, but it's definitely an accomplishment. Good luck and way to go to all of us. -
I had my surgery.
