banded in 2009 and pregnant with twins
Blaze21 replied to autigerfan's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Hello. I just wanted to stop in to say congratulations on your pregnancy. :smile2: -
Take it slow. It takes time to build up to 30 mins on the elliptical. Do a little in the morning, then add a minute or two in the evening, or whenever your next workout is. Then gradually build up until you get to your desired time frame for the elliptical.

Preferred time of day to get fill? AM or PM?
Blaze21 replied to Melinco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like to get them done in the morning because I get weighed before my fill. Your weight will fluctuate from morning to afternoon with meals and liquids, so if I do it in the morning, I weigh less. LOL. -
I love the EA Sports Active. It gives a great workout. I haven't gotten into the Active More Workouts thoroughly yet. I look forward to making that a staple as well in my exercise routine.

Try proform at proform.com. they're running specials right now with free shipping. I have a very good treadmill and elliptical that I purchased from them a few years ago. 275 lb capacity, loads of different programs, etc.

I take liquid dayquil.

I make fruit smoothies with chobani greek yogurt. Tasty.

I don't tolerate bread to well either but sometimes I just crave pizza. I eat bagel bites pizza from ore ida. I can eat 2-3 without any problem. They have an ok amount of protein per serving but they taste good.

I did the optifast for 1 week, prior to my surgery. I found the optifast to be pretty easy to do. I was allowed 5 shakes and 2 bars a day. I mixed the optifast drinks in the blender with frozen fruit or bananas. They tickened the shakes out and I ended up not needing all my shakes and bars each day. Good luck on your journey.

I've lost 99 lbs so far and haven't been able to reward myself due to finances. However, when I reach goal weight (30 lbs away), I would like a Dooney & Bourke purse and a couple of tattoos

Feeling hopeless and don't know what to do...
Blaze21 replied to TN_girl21's topic in The Gals' Room
Maybe it's not another woman. Even though he knows you love him, maybe he thinks that you are going to lose weight and leave him anyway. He may be trying to beat you to the punch. -
I'll look into it. I have the Motorola Cliq. Thanks!

I usually drink a whole bottle of water while smoking. For me, it has curbed the munchies.

You will definitely need to purchase a heavier resistance band. I got a medium/heavy one and the upper body workouts are great with it.

I have a proform xp 160 elliptical. It has an 18" stride and 275 lb user capacity. At the time (3 years ago), I paid $699 for it with free shipping. I purchased mine online from proform.com. I don't know what their shipping offers are for international shiiping, if any. Maybe you can try to find a local ftiness store or an online site that ships closer to you. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help. I also have a proform treadmill and it's very good as well.

Try proform.com. they have good machines and you can get them locally and try it before you buy it at a sears.

Is your goal weight still considered 'overweight'?
Blaze21 replied to juliansmom2003's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My actual goal is within a healthy normal weight range. However, the goals set by my nutritionist and my surgeon, both which are different, are both in the overweight range. I have already surpassed my nutritionist's goal, so onto my surgeon's goal, then onto my goal. -
You do not need te balance board to use the Active.

I had mine done twice. The first time I had the rings put in and didn't really like it. The second time I had the barbells put in and they were fine. I had to remove them right before I had my band put in. I'm thinking about getting them pierced again. I have big nipples too but the pain was minimal for me.
