Mine was about 45 minutes with a psychiatrist recommend by my surgeon. It was a causal conversation talking about my expectations and future plans. I didn't have to do a questionnaire or anything. Hi all, I've had a visit with my surgeon and I'm trying to decide if I should stay on phentermine until I get my approval for surgery. (I still need 5 more monthly visits). Personally, I'm paranoid of gaining weight since I'm afraid if I do I won't be approved. Also, I'd like to try and lose as much weight as I can prior to surgery (even if it's 10 pounds). Seeing posts like this makes me so happy. It really gives me a new perspective and so much hope. There's always a chance to make up for lost time. I've spent a majority of my life feeling so invisible, missing out on social events for fear of not having anything to wear, not feeling confident or just being too embarrassed. @@teedsg does your surgeon know about the phentermine? I told them I used it in the past. I just started again after my visit bc of my upcoming trip. I was at 270 in July. I am now at 256. I'd like to get down to 215-230 to feel more comfortable, confident and to show as much effort. Definitely trying not to gain weight and really control my appetite with the phentermine. Could you elaborate a bit on the nutritional labels? In other words, does it mean to keep carbs under 10g? Just want to be sure I follow. Being able to wrap a towel completely around my body. Tired of hearing." "You'd look amazing if you lost some weight." "You have a pretty face for a big girl." Buying an arm strap for my phone that actually fits my arms. Being pregnant without the fear of people not knowing if I'm overweight or pregnant. Tired of not wanting to go out in public and enjoy my life because of my weight. Fear of other people's responses and judgments bc of my weight gain. Not having to hide or feel invisible anymore. I'm curious to know if stretch marks on tummy interfere with the surgery itself. Only reason I ask is bc stretch marks are fibrous tissue and they can get in the way of surgical tools. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hi all! My PCP has given me the green light to schedule my appointment with my Bariatric surgeon. I wish my PCP would have told me I could have done this two months ago, but I think she was waiting on my labs. I'm super excited about scheduling my appointment. Any sleevers in Tampa? Can someone share what the bariatric surgeon visits are like? I know I have a long road ahead of me. I need 6 months nutritional counseling but I'm excited to get this ball going. Thanks!
