Is your surgery a secret?
Bobbieswife replied to Tara1992's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't care who I tell. It's a personal decision that you made that you should feel good about. People will talk about you if you are overweight and even when you start losing weight. I feel like if I have to be ashamed, stressed, or even lie about having WLS, then maybe it's something I shouldn't do. Our weight loss story could potentially help someone else who is battling obesity -
Two week liquid diet
Bobbieswife replied to hazelzay's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm on day 4 of my 3 week liquid diet and I go to bed and wake up with a headache. I also have low energy. Today I ate Soup and watermelon because I thought I was going to pass out. My goal is to try harder and harder each day to adhere to the diet Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App -

@@JoeVegas, this post made me cry because it hit home. I'm 46 yrs old and I haven't crossed the Dunes in over 26 yrs, since I had children. I raised all 3 kids doing various beach outing and many, many other things while trying to shield the pain of being obese. Last year I went on a cruise with my husband and friends and was too ashamed to enjoy the carrribean because of my weight. After that experience, I decided to look into WLS. I have decided that I'm going to have WLS and start living my life, despite what others say or think. I lok forward to RUNNING to cross the Dunes in the summer of 2017 with you and the other wonderful people on this site. Blessings to you as you continue your journey!
