I wanted to know if you can eat Cereal and milk after you've completed all phases and are eating regular foods? I'm asking because it's a rule not to eat and drink within the same timeframe. I love cereal and I just wanted to know if this is allowed. Thanks for any suggestions. Sent from my VS990 using the BariatricPal App

I had the gastric sleeve 2 years ago. I can still only eat about 4 oz and I get full. Is that good or bad? Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

I had the gastric sleeve surgery on March 21, 2016. Almost 2 years ago. I started out at 320. Im currently down to 215. I've been 215 since September 2016. I don't believe that I've stretched my stomach. I've just been eating really wrong. I want to begin losing again. Can any offer some suggestions as to getting back losing again? After the death of my sister in September of 2016, I haven't been able to focus. Please help!!!??? Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app

Yes and no. I believe that she had a blood clot. It really hurts me that she's gone. She struggled her whole life being unhappy because of her weight. She then found something that could help her achieve happiness and she dies. It hurts really bad. Sorry about the sad story. I just wanted to share. Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you. Im going to start, like you said, with more dense protein. Im not real big on meat. Its never been a favorite of mine so that's a struggle. I will try the eggs though. I drink premiere protein drinks sometimes. Congratulations on your new beginning as well. Its exciting to see those pounds drop. I know my scale was tired of me. I weigh myself weekly now. I used to do it daily. Thank you for your condolences. My sister was my best friend. She was 46. She struggled all of her life being over weight. She had the gastric sleeve surgery and 3 weeks later, she passed away. Its horrible. Just when she was doing something to improve her quality of life. It really hurts. We always did things together. Just like the surgery. Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app

Surgery with Dr. Mario Almanza
darima77 replied to gastricvictim's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Ohh wow!! No don't end your life please! I hate that you're dealing with this. It will get better as time goes on and your stomach will eventually be able to take a little more food. Can you drink protein at all? If so, do that and go slow on what you can tolerate. Its a trial and error with eating after surgery. Its been a year and 5 months and I still have to be selective. I still eat small amounts because I'm still trying to lose. Please seek support groups and talk with a gastroenterologist. Keep us updated. Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app -

I'm one year and 5 months post op. How much should I Eat? Is 4 ounces all that I'll be able to eat? It took me an hour and 15 minutes to eat an average slice of pizza. Is that bad? Can anyone offer any good and beneficial advice? Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app

Be careful with acid reflux meds. I just saw a commercial about potential kidney problems. There's a lawsuit out. I was sleeved one year and 5 months ago. I still have bad acid reflux. I started back using TUMS. I was using Prevacid but after I saw the commercial I quit. Sent from my VS990 using BariatricPal mobile app

Try using vitamins for hair such as the hair, skin and nails vitamins. Any kind with high biotin and also drink your protein. Hair Finity is also a good on too. Just look it up online.

You all are really helping me. I'm a back slider. On March 21st, 2017 will mark one year since my surgery. I started eating bad after my sister passed away in September 2016. I've eaten sweets, carbs, sugary stuff, etc. I haven't gained weight but I'm afraid if I continue on this path, I will. I need to "reset" my sleeve as well. I promised myself I will start with a liquid diet for 2 weeks and then go to soft foods and then the protein dense foods again to get me back on track. Do any of you think that this is wise? I need help!!!

OMG you look awesome!!! I'm 11 months post op too. I've lost 105 lbs so far. Ice for to get back in the gym. I lost my sister recently (she was a sleeved by only 3 weeks before she passed) and it has had me really down. I'm really happy for you. Great job!!! Sent from my VS990 using the BariatricPal App -
Hello fellow sleevers! I'm 11 months post op. I've lost 105 lbs. I'm at a stall. I recently lost my best friend and sister. We were really close. It hurts really bad. I drink alcohol a lot to help mask my pain. I eat small portions but not healthy all the time. I havent lost any weight on about 2 months. I want to continue to loose but my grief over my sister weighs heavily on me. It hurts so bad and I don't want to gain weight. My sister was 3 weeks post op before she passed away. She had lost about 60 pounds. She was on her road to a better life and she died. I'm hurting so bad and I need help in order for me to continue on losing weight. I would like to at least honor her. Please help!!! Sent from my VS990 using the BariatricPal App

I thank you all for your kind words. I haven't sought any therapy right now. My world has changed so much since she's been gone. I love that girl so much. She struggled all her life with obesity issues. The one time that she does something to change her life, she passes away. She was so beautiful inside and out. She was the life of the party. Alcohol I know isn't good but it helps (i think) when I'm really hurting. I will look up some grief therapy sessions and try to attend. This has really been hard for me. I wish that she was here sharing her weight loss success with me. Sent from my VS990 using the BariatricPal App

Since my surgery, I've lost quite a bit of weight. I never told my co-workers because I'm a private person, it's no one's business and they talk too much. Everyday they are critiquing and analyzing my appearance. I'm Hearing rumors that I've had weight loss surgery (even though I have, I never told them). That alone is quite annoying. I'm a very grown woman and my life is mine. I don't plan to talk about it with too many people. Does anyone else experience this? Sent from my VS990 using the BariatricPal App

All of you are wonderful. Anna Nim you are hilarious but you're telling the truth. People do need to mind their business. Its so irritating each day people are commenting and side talking about you. Ughh! Sent from my VS990 using the BariatricPal App
