My weight loss has been strange. I'm 3 months post-op and have lost every week. The last two weeks I lost 6 pounds each week. Total over 60 since surgery. This week I only lost 1 pound. Lowest amount since surgery. I'm thinking I'm gonna slow down. I'm gonna freak. I don't want to stop losing but I know the "stall" will happen eventually. I just had my surgery 7 hours ago. The gas pain was pretty bad for a little while. It's better now. I'm walking around my room. It feels like I did 500 sit-ups. My abdomen is really sore. I'm really thirsty but the doctor said I can't have anything until tomorrow. The nurse coordinator was sleeved a year ago. She's lost 120 lbs. It's great to pick her brain about her experience.

My surgery is tomorrow, Jun 7th. I've been on this liquid diet for two weeks! I'm down 13 lbs. I'm a 54 yr old male war veteran and haven't been this nervous in a long time. Is it too late to change my mind? Maybe I just won't show up. Will they come looking for me? Lol

Wow! You ARE Lucky. I'm reading that others don't have to do it at all. How can there be such a difference? I thought there is a medical reason behind it.

I can't believe how difficult this pre-op diet has been. I've done it for a week so far. Another week to go. Surgery June 7th.

It's been a long time coming but I've got a pretty firm date of June 7th for my sleeve surgery. There's been so many hoops to jump through to get here. My doctor had to appeal twice to my insurance company for them to approve the surgery. Honestly, when they denied it I was really depressed. My faith helped my through and I just got a call yesterday that the appeal was reviewed and approval given. I actually did the liquid diet for a week with a surgery date of next week when I got a call about the denial from the insurance company. I can't believe I have to start it again next week. It's gonna be so much harder now that I know what's coming. I really haven't looked into what my diet will be for the 1st couple of weeks post op. What can I expect? I'm 350lbs and can't wait to have a 1 as that first number instead of a 3. You should hear the list of things I want to do after losing enough weight.
