    The night before.....

Good luck @@olliesoda ! It'll all be worth it!
  2. Look at adding sugar free flavors to shakes. Don't add a banana at this stage - too much sugar. There's banana flavoring though.

    First Timer!

@@NYCDreamer Sounds like you could provide us with the advice! Congrats! You have done exceptional pre-op and I believe you'll do the same post-op.

    Small Stomach

@@Tara1992 eggs are hard for a lot of people. From week 1-6 - my plan has me still doing Protein shakes to get in enough protein since it's difficult to get it in through food that early.
  5. @@frozengrapes You have a lower BMI than many of us - so your weight loss may be slower. You'll get there though - just stay strong and stick with the plan!!!!
  6. @@frozengrapes Try not to get discouraged. This is the time for the 3 week stall. It's important to meet your protein and fluid goals (not just close) and the scale will move. Your body is adjusting. I hope your Dr explained that and told you to stay off the scale.

The one I just tried triggered my gag reflex! OMG it was awful! Lol I'll pass.

    Crazy Pre-Op Anxiety

@@KaiserKid My anxiety is mostly about something happening to prevent me from getting surgery. I am still not scheduled but so far so good.
  9. Do not get Mission1 - OMG! It's like nasty chocolate cardboard! Throwing it away and eating a damn banana! (I'm pre-op).

Submitted. Now it's a waiting game.

@@Sumaire That's not legal for your surgeon to refuse to give you medical records. I'd file a complaint against him.

    Lost and confused

Go back to basics. Track everything you eat and drink. High Protein and low carb. If you aren't eating the appropriate foods - you aren't going to lose weight as you could if you followed your plan. No Pasta, bread, rice, sweets, potato chips, crackers, etc. Eat protein and produce (protein first). No soda or high calorie drinks!

    Considering surgery

@@Rycaitsmom You may not have to provide any proof. I had my 6 month supervised diet waived because of a BMI over 50.

What Is Your Biggest Guilty Pleasure? (Food or Not)

    Sandwich Wraps

@ I was told to stay away from any soft/doughy foods which unfortunately sandwich wraps fall into that category. I would eat the sandwich insides without any bread/wrap at 6 weeks out - or as @@LipstickLady said - use romaine lettuce. Sandwiches of any kind are my thing - and I specifically asked about this with my NUT. Once cleared for these foods, some alternatives to sandwiches would be a stuffed tomato (tuna salad, chicken salad), sliced cucumbers with sandwich meat and cheese, and of course the lettuce wraps.

    Did you tell people?

@@potahto Can you tell her that you are on a medically supervised diet? I'm assuming she'll notice you are losing weight so you'll probably have to explain that anyway.
  17. @@klmmom Are you staying hydrated? Nausea can be from dehydration. Try something with electrolytes or some broth (assuming you're able to have that). I also found that I get extremely nauseous from a multi-vitamin I changed over to. Hope you feel better! Stay strong!
  18. @@sleeved2be I've had one for other reasons. Basically it's a series of breathing tests - you breath into a machine a few times (spirometry). It's not invasive at all or painful. Good luck!
  19. @@jennifer1 I'd be surprised if any surgeon was not Board Certfied. Are you going to a Center of Excellence? That would be my first suggestion. Try this search - or call your insurance for a recommendation! Good luck! https://asmbs.org/patients/find-a-provider

    Where to start

@@Nursesrock Look into the 5 day pouch reset diet - there's also a few others you can try. They just created a regain forum this weekend - maybe that will have some good ideas for you. From what I've read - your sleeve will always be there - you just need to start using it! Best of luck!

    I'm Nervous

@@Latoya1214 You can do this!!! I wish I had done it at your age - instead I waited until my weight sky rocketed to 300 lbs and I had hypertension, degenerative disc disease, sleep apnea, joint pain, and soon (I'm sure) diabetes. I wasted several years of my life and missed out on having children (PCOS). Get your health under control while you still have many more years ahead of you! Good luck and I look forward to seeing your journey continue!
  23. @@Butch Luce You're going to do so well post-op!!! Congrats and thank you for sharing!!!

A weight plateau after 3 weeks?

@@JlainottawaSleeve Your body is going through an adjustment. It's typical to stall around 3 weeks (search 3 week stall). Be sure to meet Protein and Fluid goals every day and the weight will come off! Measure yourself and you'll probably notice you are still losing inches even though the scale isn't moving.
