@@rhondakayshalton How long is your liquid diet for? I went to Walmart to pick up a few things for the pre-op and post-op diets. I have to do a particular shake for pre-op but I bought Premier Protein Banana shake and their Caramel shake for post-op. I got a 4 pack of Atkins Lift Water and little bottles of water. I ordered a few front closure bras last night too. I'm getting ready - it'll be here soon! -

Could be dehydration, low potassium or low magnesium. Try some broth - the sodium may help. Drink as many fluids as you can. Congrats on being on the Loser's Bench!

I pulled a goal weight out of the air. My surgeon never asked or told me what it should be. Maybe that'll come up after surgery. It's hard for me to even imagine being 150 lbs - so I'll see how I feel if I get there. ???? -

It's not about how much weight lost. You "cheated" by having chicken which is often allowed on a pre-op diet. It completely depends on what you ate to "cheat" - if it's carbs that's more of an issue. Someone recently had their surgery stopped because didn't follow diet and liver was not small enough. -

@@LipstickLady This brings me back to when I was a teenager and would say I was hungry, my Mom (skinny) would tell me to have a Coke! It pissed me off big time! I was hungry - not thirsty! Lol

That is something only the surgeon can tell you. The purpose of the pre-op diet is to shrink your liver to make surgery safer. It's too important to risk. -
If you are having severe pain - you should call surgeon on-call or go to ER. That is not normal. These symptoms could be a sign of a leak.

@@Terri70 It's not anything to be scared about. I'm a side sleeper too and managed to sleep fairly well. I was anxious but turned out that it was not as bad as expected. I'm surprised they allow Ambien. -

It's a small % of people who can lose weight and keep it off. We have been down that path. It'll be worth the sacrifices. Good luck. -
I'd think something as physical as hockey (especially since abdominal muscles are involved) could be 6-8 weeks. You risk hernias after laprascopic surgery.
