    Birth Control

It's most likely a hormone form of BC - it can increase risk of blood clots. You need to clarify with the Dr.

    Muscle Loss

I drink at least 1 Premier Protein drink a day (30 g) and eat mostly lean Proteins like poached eggs, fish, chicken or pork. I am having trouble with weakness/fatigue with physical activity (especially in the morning) so I am trying to get some carbs in. Still only able to eat about 2-3 tablespoons of food at one time. Maybe another Protein shake until you can eat more. Fluids are important too! If you are on any BP meds - they could need adjusting.
  4. I love your food funeral. That's great!!!! Maybe I'll do the same, I like to say more of a "see you later" knowing I'll replace a big mac with something like a tiny turkey burger. Still trying to figure out what to replace buffalo wings with ... my nemesis Hope the rest of the trip goes well! @@rolosmom7 baked chicken wings with buffalo sauce - that'll be okay to have at some point! I love chicken wings too!
  5. @@#BirdDog I almost peed my pants reading about the coke & big mac funeral!!! That's awesome! I so wish you had it recorded! Sounds like you are well prepared while on a business trip and are doing great!! That can't be easy! You've got this!!!

    Injections ?

Yes - or a family member I suppose.

    And I'm just "chubby"!

    September Sleevers!

@@LightenUp Linz If your doctor doesn't require it - don't torture yourself by doing one. Just eat healthy - low carb - high protein! Good luck!

    Large boned. ..

@DJ's Nana Just concentrate on being a healthy weight! "Small" doesn't mean much - you certainly will never be petite - but you can be sexy, hot, and healthy!!! That sounds way better than "small"!

    Sagging Skin

@@NJ Mom Skin issues are dependent on a lot of things - your age, genetics, weight fluctuations (how often did you yo-yo up and down), and how much you have to lose. You will probably have less of an issue than some of us that are bigger - but there's not really any way to say what it will be like.
  11. @@TanishaP I plan on staying out for 4-6 weeks. I have the time and my surgeon said the longer I can take the better.
  12. @@erp I don't understand how you could be only 5'4" - your legs look like they go on forever! I'm only 2 inches shorter and have stumpy legs! LOL
  13. Unfortunately - I did not get that side effect! :-)

    Pre-op blood work

@@NikkiRT It will not improve with surgery - it could get worse. What are your results? They will most likely require treatment prior to surgery as it is very dangerous to operate on someone with anemia.

    When does this get better

@@busybeebug Take your pain meds as prescribed - even if you think you feel better - once the pain pills wear off - it's very hard to catch back up to the pain. Just keep walking to get rid of the gas - sip to get in your fluids and rest when you're not walking. Hang in there!

    Attitude Problem

@@Bald Mike It could also be the hormones that are released as you burn / lose fat. What makes some of us moody bitches might make you an ass! :-) Although I don't see anything wrong in saying how you feel. Congrats on your weight loss so far - that's excellent!!!
  17. Smoking can cause significant issues post-op - I'm very surprised your surgeon didn't say you had to quit completely. I'm glad that you're not taking his advice. My surgeon had a patient that quit for surgery and started right back up post-op - she ended up ulcerating her stomach/pouch - requiring emergency surgery and a revision. Needless to say - they are even more strict about it. It also increases chance of blood clots - which is the number 1 cause of death following WLS.

    Injections ?

@@megnun21 Not everyone has to take blood thinners - I think it depends on the person and the surgeon.

    Hunger or Acid

It could be actual hunger if you aren't eating or drinking enough. If you are unable to get protein from foods - try adding a shake into the mix again.
  20. @@britknee You started at a much lower BMI than many of us - so your weight loss will be slower and require a little more effort. You've lost 11% of your body weight in 8 weeks - that's awesome!!

    6 month Diet Visits

@@hudjess The dietitian at the weight loss center should be fine for supervised weight loss. I can't imagine that will be a problem. Call your insurance and ask.

    Conflicting info!

@@debd80 Don't pay any attention to MFP. You should be concerned with Protein and Water. How much protein are you getting? You definitely need to increase your water (non-calorie drinks) - that's too low and could stall / stop weight loss. If you're not getting at least 60 gms of protein (maybe even more) -you should increase that as well. You might not be eating enough.
  24. KristenLe

    Wow

That's got to be wrong. Look at the servings per container 100gms - that makes no sense. They usually don't break down calories to decimal points either. I'd look for another picture.
