    Almost Time

@@Gordita81 I'm so excited for you!!! You've got this! I'm sure your husband is a little scared and that's why he doesn't want you to have surgery. I'm sure once he knows you're okay - he'll feel better.

    Weight loss is slow

That's not a slow loss but watch the sugars - some creamed soup can have alot of sugar, peanut butter is high in sugar and bananas are as well. That could be impacting weight loss. You also started out at a much lower BMI than many of us so the loss will be slower naturally.

    Insurance approved

@@danny77 It really depends on the surgeon's schedule - I had to wait a month to get my appointment. Congrats!
  4. @@Mimi52 Keep yourself busy - find some distractions. If you can - have some broth, sugar free popsicles, another Protein shake. Keep your eye on the prize - you've done so well so far - only a few more days to go!!! Good luck!!!

I should add that I had a semi-flock of seagulls hairdo at the time! :-)

Band Fail to Sleeve fail. :(

@@homeesiick Go to your Mom's surgeon. It sounds as though the sleeve may not have been done properly (as mentioned). With PCOS - it is very difficult to lose weight on your own! The only time I have been successful was when I basically did no carbs (other than veggies/fruit) and still it wasn't flying off. There's alternatives to birth control that you may want to look into as well but I don't think you'll have problems loosing weight while taking the pill (if your sleeve is working properly). Good luck!!!

    Day 5 and really hungry?

@@christinah a PPI is an acid reducer - usually prescribed by your surgeon to take for a while post-op. If you weren't given one - I'd call your surgeon.

    Sore, burning pain

@@100lbs2g0 Never hesitate to call your surgeon to be sure it's not serious. It is most likely normal healing pains and nerve pain as that's where they usually remove your stomach - but don't take anyone's word for it other than a medical professional. Hope you feel better soon!

    3wks out tacos?

Again, with the snide remarks...Look, had you stuck with you FIRST comment on this thread I wouldn't have said anything, as that was appropriate. You didn't do that. Instead you posted a slew of shitty sarcastic remarks afterwards. Clearly, you're character defects weren't removed with the 85% of your stomach. Don't try to infect others with your unhappiness. Try therapy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Do you have anything to offer other than a rude comments about other people? What gives you the right to post a slew of shitty remarks? You've been a member of this forum for about a minute and starting crap!
  13. @@cbonet No one was ridiculed in the posts this week and it was the same old crap - cheerleaders for doing what you want rather than following your Drs orders.
  14. If any more successful people stop posting or detach we may as well hang it up! I don't want advice from someone who thinks it is okay to have a Big Mac the day before surgery. This is our lives we are talking about! If I eat a steak a week post-op - I want a kick in the ass! I don't want the "that's okay - nothing bad will happen - stop listening to the naysayers"! I am not going through this to risk my life for chicken fingers and fries! It's not even about those that messed up or "cheated" as much as it is about people telling them it's okay (and telling others that may be having trouble that they can do it too)! We've lost too many people who could really help us.

    Pre-op diet cranky pants.

@@The New Kel It's normal - and can continue or worsen a bit post op due to the hormones being released by fat as it breaks down. Just apologize ahead of time. Some say exercise will help (I'm pre-op so haven't tested that theory) - so when you're feeling exceptionally grumpy - go for a walk. I start mine 10/4/16 and have already warned my SO. Good luck with your surgery - hang in there!!!

    Day 5 and really hungry?

@@christinah I'm surprised they suggested 1/2 cup of food 5 days post op. This may not be hunger and could be stomach acid - are you on a PPI? It's unusual to not be able to satisfy real hunger at this point - especially if you're eating food. It could also be that you're not drinking enough fluids. Please be careful and don't overeat or eat off plan - it's dangerous and could cause complications some life threatening.
  17. Go the forum that the post should be in and in the top right corner it will say "Start New Topic".

    Messed up

Nothing better than 5 Guys Burgers and fries!!! :-) I went to Five Guys once. Bit into a fry that had a hair wrapped around it -- a hair that clearly went through the fryer wrapped and permanently attached to that fry. Couldn't even bite the burger after that. Nope. Well - who needs willpower - that right there will stop me from ever going there again!!! lol

    Cravings

@@GSleeve822 You might want to look into whether or not it could be a Vitamin deficiency. Try adding some veggies/fruits to your diet. It could be the crystal light like you thought too. If you're craving sweets - how about having a Protein shake a night??

@@gemigirl Never trust a fart!! I guess no one told you about that!
  23. @@txvsg Incredible!! Congrats - you look great! Just look how damn cute you are! (that comes from someone old enough to be your Mom - it's not flirting! LOL)
  24. @@BillyD As your body burns fat - the hormones stored in that fat are released into your system - often causing moodiness, depression, etc. Are you meeting Protein and Fluid goals? Taking Vitamins? If you are on any BP meds - they may need to be adjusted. Hang in there - it'll get better! Don't hesitate to talk to your surgeon about the depression especially!
  25. @@Jane1979 I can't help but laugh all day today! I bought some front enclosure sports bras for post-op and wanted to see if they were comfortable so I wore one to work today. MAJOR UNIBOOB!!! Every time I look down I laugh and think of your comment!
