When are you going to stop losing weight?

@@BrittneyMarie That's a lot of weight to lose in such a short time so I'm sure it's more of a shock to people.
  2. @@Boudala Don't worry about the weight gain from your period. The liquid diet is to shrink your leaking surgery safer- not really about weight loss. It'll go back down quickly. The stairs may be a little difficult but hold a pillow to your abdomen and take them slowly. Good luck.

@@connie2166 When is your weigh in? Do a liquid diet before it.

    Reselling clothes

I got about a $1 an item from ThredUp. Most were brand new with tags and they sold every item for a decent amount. I'll never do it again - I'd rather donate.

Increased water unless Dr prescribed lasix.

    I messed up

Some insurances will require you to start over - it depends on your plan.

    September Sleevers!

Great! The pain was probably from dehydration or a potassium or magnesium deficiency. Try drinking something with electrolytes.

    No weight loss

I doubt that will be an issue at all.

    Pregnancy complications?

It's heartbreaking. Ask your Dr to make sure your Vitamin levels and hormone levels are good. My sister also lost a fallopian tube but thankfully was able to have 2 children after that.

    Pregnancy complications?

My sister had a tubal pregnancy and had 2 healthy pregnancies after. She didn't have WLS but I don't think that a tubal has anything to do with surgery. Stay strong and positive! Sorry for you losses. :-(

Protein snacks 3 weeks post op?

No nuts or seeds for 6 weeks at least.

    shake...shake your booty!

I like Bariatric Fusion protein powder.
  15. Pain would not be the only issue. Food can get stuck in your staples/suture line and cause a leak or abscess. That's why they have you on a liquid diet. Hopefully nothing like that will happen to you.

    Flu Season is Coming

I have to get one for work or wear a mask during flu season. I get the shot. I got mine last Friday so I'd have it before surgery. I got a cold but I'm quite sure I would have any way.
  17. My Dr told me I could get a cortisone shot a month after surgery. I was afraid to screw up the timing of my surgery getting it before and the surgeon said it was good that I didn't. It's not an issue post-op though.
  18. I doubt it. You can get gallstones without having WLS. It's not really a complication of surgery but a response from rapid weight loss.

    3wks out tacos?

@@leebick I don't think you'll be eating enough to be too gassy. And - my plan wouldn't allow for the above modified taco either.

    Protein drinks

I have to do Bariatric Fusion protein powder with fat free mild for pre-op and have tried them early and love them! I may not after having 70 of them in 2 weeks so I didn't buy any for post-op yet.
  24. @@aryn123 Don't worry about eating anything right now - concentrate on getting in your fluids and Protein shakes. You are most likely dehydrated and will not feel better until you are drinking at least 64 ozs of fluids. Why don't you go back to shakes and liquids for now. Be sure to take your PPI and anti-nausea meds. Walk frequently and sip slowly. Try different temps - sometimes warm is easier than cold. Try some hot broth or tea or sugar free popsicles. Do whatever you can to get in your protein and fluids.
  25. @@migalo Great attitude!!! Good luck with surgery!!!
