    Facial hair *women only

@pleezeSleeve @natarshassleeve Get your own wax kit ... http://www.sallybeauty.com/honee-wax-warmer/SBS-448506,default,pd.html#start=6 Much cheaper and less embarrassing than going to a salon. You'll have to let it grow out a little before you can wax it though.

    So embarrassing

My cardiologist lol IMSTLHR That's just as bad. Cardiologist should want accurate weights - and there's a lot of cardiac patients that weigh more than 350 lbs.

    Pizza

@@natarshassleeve There's a lot of alternatives to pizza - cauliflower crust, zucchini pizzas, eggplant pizzas. You can enjoy the toppings off a pizza or make a pizza topping like casserole (kind of like the ricotta bake but with pizza like toppings). I'm supposed to not have anything "doughy" - but I'm sure I'll try a pizza several months out. I'm not going to waste my honeymoon period though - I'll have one of the alternatives.

    Sleeve on October 18th

@@jiti28 My surgery is the same day. I started my liquid diet on the 4th. It's not as hard as I expected but it's not easy either. Talk to your nutritionist (or surgeon) about your diet and hypoglycemia - they may adjust your diet some. I am not hungry at all - actually haven't been drinking as many shakes as I'm allowed. The head hunger is very real though! I'm also emotional and foggy. I stopped caffeine - but only drank one coffee a day so that wasn't difficult. You can do this - you're not alone! Stay strong!!!
  10. @@kblanc I realized I'm allowed low fat milk instead of skim - it was like someone told me I could have a steak and baked potato for supper! LOL
  11. @@simpsongrad @@+bodyimage I haven't had WLS yet (10/18) but had my gallbladder removed under emergency circumstances in 2003. The pain before surgery was so unbearable that I don't remember there being much pain at all following the surgery. The gas pain would certainly be similar and there's probably more of a risk of complications post-op with the WLS - so you'll have to take it easier than you may have with your gallbladder. No cheerleading for a few weeks! :-)

    October Surgery Buddies

@@mfoxworthy I'm the same day - and started my liquid diet on Tuesday. It's rough - but I'm hanging in there. I'm not hungry at all - just a lot of head hunger and I'm "foggy". I can only have 4-5 shakes a day, 3 Snacks of either broth, sf popsicle or sf Jello. I can have unlimited celery (which has been saving me at night). I hope the weekend (long one) is as easy - I will just need to keep myself very busy. I'm getting a little emotional and nervous but I don't have any second thoughts at all.

@@lau1875 Stand up for yourself! Stop being a doormat. I'm sorry to sound harsh but you just had MAJOR surgery and complications can still happen - serious LIFE threatening complications! Take care of yourself! Why are you grocery shopping for your sister? Just say NO! Don't cook for her children - major surgery trumps the "flu"! Do you have a friend you can stay with that isn't a self centered jerk - even if it's just for a few weeks?

  22. I'm required to drink Bariatric Fusion shakes (powder with skim milk) and they are actually one of the better shakes I've had. What's helping me with hunger is drinking a lot of water. The head hunger is brutal though.

    Hungry...or gas pain?

Usually you're given a script. Alot of people like Premier Protein shakes (pre-made). I have to use Bariatric fusion for my pre-op and they're really good - I'm just getting sick of the sweetness quickly. I went to my pre admission testing yesterday and they reviewed what meds I take now and what I need to stop and what to take morning of surgery. Pre-op teaching tomorrow and I was hoping they'd give us our scripts for post-op.
