7 weeks post op plateau HELP!

    I don't think that's enough calories.
  3. First of all - you are not a horrible freak. Many of us have hidden behind our obesity. It's often a way of leaving ourselves out of the game so we don't fail from something else (or are rejected because of something other than our physical appearance). It's no longer there to hide behind and that's scary as hell. I strongly encourage therapy. Whether you believe it or not - you are EXTREMELY handsome and will get attention because of it. Of course - no one above the age of 15 should be saying nice ass and giggling - even if you have a nice ass! You've been successful in improving your physical health - now you just need to work on your mental/emotional health. Stay strong!
  4. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! Remember your Grandmother will always be with you in spirit and in your heart! Take comfort in that!
  5. People who are morbidly obese have a 5% success rate of keeping off weight lost with just diet & exercise. Maybe one of your family should go to a information session or to one of your visits.

    Drinking after gastric bypass

See if you can find a therapist in a Bariatric Program. There wouldn't be any way for someone to know you were there because of alcohol. I understand your concern being in the medical field - you seem to know someone wherever you go. For your health and well-being, don't let embarrassment, shame or fear stop you from getting help! Good luck!

    What's your comfort food?

No worries... You have to vent.

    Ignorance, Senility, or NSV?

Mud runs are awesome. You run for a bit and then have to wait in line for an obstacle. Hot men put their hands on your ass and push you over a wall and you thank them for it. Best day ever. Sign me up!

    What's your comfort food?

Why aren't you making a lower fat option with the cauliflower for you? That sounds much better than a potato. My comfort food is pizza or a calzone (right now anyway).

Get professional help. This is not unusual and a therapist can help. Good luck! Stay strong!

    Surgery Date!

@@ChrissyCakes. Don't give in - my surgeon said 50-60% of banders require a second surgery at some point due to complications.

    Ignorance, Senility, or NSV?

    Lmao. Good for you!
  14. My surgeon doesn't require it either unless you're over 400lbs. They are a Center of Excellence - and the best Bariatric Program in the State.

    Feeling drained, Help!

If you're on blood pressure meds - you may need them adjusted. Otherwise, it's probably just your body healing after a major surgery.

    Junk Food!

I don't think you're getting enough water. I'd stick with protein for dinner and veggies and see if that helps the cravings. I'm going to a therapist pre-surgery hoping to figure out how to stop the mindless eating (mostly at night).

    Junk Food!

Try getting more high protein, low carb food during the day - and get your water in. Have your blood pressure checked to make sure not too low (light headed) but that could be that you're not eating enough during the day. Hang in there! You've done great so far!

    Surgery day!

You must weigh heavy - you don't look like you could lose 20 more lbs. :-).

    Starbucks?

It's the caffeine. It supposedly interferes with calcium absorption. I also think that it can cause dehydration (acts as diuretic) post-op which can be a concern . Many still drink coffee and tea though. If you do - you don't want to add cream/sugar. Some use protein shakes in their coffee instead.
  20. I am a celery addict and although haven't had WLS yet I've read that celery is often not tolerable after surgery (for the reason @@goblue9280 mentioned).

  23. You look incredible and I love the new "do". I used to have cool hair when I was younger!
