    Young Sleevers

I wish I did this at your age!!! Take control of your life and enjoy!!!
  3. I would schedule an appointment with a Bariatric Nutritionist. If you are having issues with emotional eating - get some counseling to help before thinking about another surgery. You might want to go back to basics and see if it helps. Try this...

    10 weeks out

Think about losing 50lbs in 10 weeks - there's nothing about that that says failure! Damn good job! Get your protein and water in - it'll come off.
  5. Holy crap! Are you sure that was you? Lol.

    Tired and sleepy

@@readyforachange84 Make sure you are getting enough protein, water and your vitamins. If you are in any meds - especially for blood pressure - you may need them adjusted. Hope you feel better soon!

    2 1/2 weeks post op

My NUT suggested eating 5-6 small meals about 3 hours apart. That may be too much just 2 weeks post-op.

@@jccanada You will lose if you get more protein. Get some protein powder to put in fluids if you don't want more food. Your body will go into starvation mode without adequate calories/food and think it needs to hang on to fat.

@@selenarp Can / Do you eat eggs? They have a good amount of protein and would be filling. I'm curious to see what your NUT says - I don't think veggies are going to be an issue.

Try the Pouch Reset/Test. You have to go back to basics. Protein and Water - track everything. No pasta, bread or rice. Good luck - you can get back on track!

Do you know how much protein you're getting? I think you might be eating too few calories and that may be the reason for the stall. Although - you've lost alot so your body is trying to get used to your new way of eating.

@@jccanada What are you eating? Are you getting enough protein and water? Eating less may not help - your body needs time to adjust. You might want to eat a little more protein and kick start your loss.

@@TamaraRae Try chewing ice or sugar free popsicles - it may help you feel like you're eating.

There are apps that remind you to drink. That's a great start to your loss - but you definitely need to get your protein and fluids. You can have creamy soups (no chunks), hummus, refried beans (with cheese & sour cream), cottage cheese, ricotta bake (should be able to find recipe online), add protein powder to pudding. You have to eat even if you're not hungry.

    Does anybody else get tired!

I think it's common. Are you on any meds? If you take BP meds - you may need them adjusted.

@@dashofsunshine Your success is inspiring. You look beautiful! Congrats.
  19. You are doing great!! Your body needs time to adjust - as long as your getting your protein and water - it'll come off. Your hormones are all out of whack too - just hang in there!

    New to all this

Compared to the amount of medical appointments and tests I've had this year for all of my ailments - this process is easy and I'm getting alot out of the NUT and Psych appointments.

Try limiting the amount of milk for now. Do you have anything for nausea? I know it sounds weird but brush your tongue and see if that helps with your taste. Try broth, tea (mint or ginger will help settle your stomach), protein water (or unflavored protein mixed in water), try drinking things at varying temps to see what works best. You have to get your fluids or you'll get dehydrated quickly. Rest and fluids - don't worry too much about protein right now. Hope you feel better soon!

    American Food!

@@rydersmama P3 Snack Packs are small portion of high protein "snacks" that often have a few nuts, small amount of cheese and a deli meat. You can put them together yourself - and it's much cheaper. The prepackaged ones are great to grab in a hurry (have at alot of gas stations/Food Mart's). They also sell them at Target. I just got the Tuna packets at Target but they have them at most grocery stores. You can probably get both at Walmart too.

    Getting obsessed![emoji33]

@@carolina07 It's not impossible to cheat - your Sleeve is only a Tool - you have to change your eating habits. It's really important to follow your plan - eating things we shouldn't can cause significant complications this early out. Remember - just because we can eat something doesn't mean we should.
