    Pre-op diet

I'm not required to lose weight pre-op but it'll depend on your Surgeon and your Insurance if you'll need to.
  2. @@Killian You should be proud you didn't cave to your Taco Bell celebration! You're going to be a success!
  3. @@kmorri Something similar happened to me after a leg fracture repair - they read the orders for the pain pump incorrectly! I felt like someone had run over my leg with a Mack truck. Not good! I'm glad you're getting Dilaudid now - good drug! . Hope you feel better soon!
  4. Are you on full liquids or clear?

    Stomach trouble

Are you taking anything like Nexium or Zantac? An acid reducer may help. If it doesn't get better - call your surgeon and see what they think. Hope you feel better soon.

    October List of Surgery's

@@anewme2015 I was wondering why you would have had surgery at 136. I would encourage counseling. We have alot of work we need to do on our brains to be successful at this. We need to change how, what and why we eat. Stay strong! You've done great so far.

    Early thoughts

Most of the time they use disolvable sutures. The incisions are very small. You will have to deal with needles though - you will get an IV in the OR and will obviously need blood work. Take a deep breath... You'll get thru it all.
  8. They will probably have you on blood thinners post-op. They'll be even more cautious than usual but we're all at risk with major surgery.

    October List of Surgery's

People who feel like they've failed want others to fail as well - that way they can blame the surgery rather than themselves. Don't pay attention to her - misery loves company! I would say something rude back to her but you're probably better off just brushing it off. Congrats on your success!

    Scale sabotage

@@leahhindi My Program does not require any weight loss prior to surgery (and no pre-op diet). The Nurse sounds like an asshole. If you think weighing yourself will be an issue (it will be for me too) then don't weigh until you go to Drs. Many others do that. You will not fail at this!

    Purée stage

Cottage cheese, hummus, refried beans, ricotta bake (recipe online, Greek yogurt (low sugar), sugar free pudding, canned tuna with mayo (check to see if tuna allowed in this stage on your plan)... there's a recipe section on this site.

    Immersion blender vs bullet

@@Dub That's what I want to do too - I think I'll do better with veggies than fruit or sweet. I'm going to pretend I'm drinking Bloody Mary's!

    Surgery Day!

Yes - absolutely you can use a heating pad (just not directly on skin). Glad you're home and healing!
  14. Well considering it took me a while to realize how humongous I got - I imagine it takes a while to realize you're not big anymore. . it's too bad we can't lose where we want - I hear the ass is always a big loser.

    TMI: My first BM

Omg! Lmao! You have made my day! Thank you for the very comic description and warning!
  16. Look how pretty you are - gorgeous eyes!!! You can definitely see a difference in your face! Congrats!!!
  17. He has the typical "I'm a SURGEON therefore I am God" complex (usually worse in orthopedics). . So take his advice with a grain of salt. Water exercise is difficult - and what is recommended for people with joint issues. And any exercise is better than none!
  18. I think you look great - you still want some curves!! You don't want to look all skin & bones!

Nothing to speed up weightloss like divorce

@@csawesome Stay strong and get some rest! Worrying will not change the future. My sister went through something very similar (minus the WLS) a few years back with her husband of 20 years (now ex-husband) with 2 children (teenagers). It was very difficult but once she got past all of the hurt and impact on the family - she is in a great place emotionally and mentally!

    Gum

I am pretty sure the biggest issue is swallowing gum - that's a big no-no and can cause complications. Chewing gum (even sugar free) in large quantities can negate the effect of a low-carb diet.

    Stalled :(

@@lazylyn I'm sure the weight gain is only Water - don't worry! Your body has been through a lot and needs time to adjust. As long as you are sticking with the plan - the weight will come off - you won't fail!!!

    Can't believe this

@@snugelkin That sucks! I'm sorry you are dealing with this - it's hard enough when everything goes as planned. Contact your insurance and find out what you need to do to get back on track. I was told 6 months of supervised weight loss - but found out last month that this is not the case (hopefully someone didn't screw up that info). Find a great Bariatric Program in your area (with more than one physician) so you can get this done!! Stay strong!!!!

Week 3 and 4 food options

@@Darcyred I can have tuna on soft food stage. Try cottage cheese, sugar free pudding, hummus, refried Beans / beans (add a little cheese and sour cream), ricotta bake (recipe online), ground chicken (or hamburg). Just try a tiny amount first to make sure it doesn't make you sick. There's a recipe section on the forum too. Good luck

    Cool Sculpting - yay? nay?

This will not remove sagging skin. My sister just had a consult with a plastic surgeon and it freezes fat cells, killing them and they absorb into your body. It's the equivalent to lipo only it does tighten the skin so better than lipo on abdomen. It will not be beneficial after a large weight loss. I'm sure they saw $$$ when they told you you'd be a great candidate. :-( I'd go to another plastic surgeon for another consult.
