    Car ride home from hospital

Your Dr may suggest compression stockings. It's best to move and walk to avoid blood clots.

    The Doctor Struggle

I agree with @ - check with Aetna to see if you can go to a Bariatric surgeon without a referral from your PCP. The PCP sounds like an asshole! Some plans will allow an OBGYN to be your PCP too. It is Aetna's responsibility to find you a PCP that is accepting new patients!

    Feeling like a Failure

That's not failure! How much were you expecting to lose?? What are you eating? Instead of calories - make sure you are getting enough protein and water. Less calories doesn't always mean more loss.
  9. Do you have any other comorbities?

  12. It could be exacerbated by hormones but I would consider meds at least temporarily. Similar to treating Post Partum Depression. Hang in there!
  13. @@tamila0624 You need to be at a steady weight before considering plastic surgery. I would suggest counseling to get your food issues under control. Go back to basics. If you continue eating sweets - you will continue to gain.

  16. Take your pain meds as prescribed - don't let the pain get bad or it will be hard for meds to catch up. Walk as soon and as often as you can. Your body needs rest and don't think you feel well enough to do housework or yard work - you might feel fine but your body had traumatic surgery and needs you to take care of yourself. Find out exact post-op diet instructions and stick with them. Good luck to all!

    15 days post opp

They discuss this very thing in the book I read about WLS. It can easily turn into an eating disorder and as @StephanieSparklePants indicated it causes digestive problems. Any Dr who suggested chewing popcorn and spitting it out needs to go back to medical school.

48 hours afterwards. Was it a mistake?

Ask for help. You must have a friend or family member that will give you a hand. Don't hesitate to ask someone!

When online dating didnt work out....

@ I just turned 48 but met my boyfriend online at 41 years old. I met a few doozies in the process (one with dirty socks on) and actually hadn't even seen a picture of Bob before we met in person. You have to take a chance - thankfully mine paid off. I hope I never have to do it again though.
  21. Try some consignment shops. I don't have any in that size or I'd send them.

When online dating didnt work out....

It could still work out - there's no end date. Just put yourself out there - try different sites. Find some great activities to do and meet people that way. And enjoy being alone - don't feel desperate to find someone. I also have to say - don't dismiss people based on initial looks, likes or dislikes. Open your mind to the possibilities. Be confident!
  23. You know what you need to do - that's the first step to getting back on track! You have to go back to basics and clean your system of the carbs and sugars. You can find good options to eat out - you just need to get in control of the emotional eating/head hunger. I'm pre-surgery and going to counseling for this same problem. I strongly recommend it. Think about the results if you stick with your plan. Don't waste the opportunity to get healthy! Stay strong!
